The audience as the crucial ingredient of this synthesis creates a supernatural reaction, which fuses the parting line between band and audience.The high recognition value of Dying Gorgeous Lies is unconcealable: in September 2013 MASSACRE RECORDS signed the quintet and released their second studio album “First World Breakdown” on February 20th, 2015.The constant presence on the nationwide stages and in the media draws increasing attention from bookers and organizers. As a consequence DGL was booked as support for various renowned bands, e.g. EQUILIBRIUM, OVER KILL or ARCH ENEMY and was signed by Alpha Omega Management. In 2015 the band played their first Western European Tour.This path continued in 2016: DGL is official support for bands like DIRKSCHNEIDER (Germany shows), TESTAMENT (Italy) or SUICIDAL ANGELS (Estonia, Latvia and Russia). Furthermore they share the stage with bands such as WITHIN TEMPTATION, KREATOR and POWERWOLF.The year 2017 starts with an extreme highlight for the 5 thrashers around vocalist Liz Gorgeous! In April/May DGL joins TESTAMENT, SEPULTURA and PRONG on their Northern America Tour and shows the American and Canadian metal heads what German metal is made of.

DYING GORGEOUS LIES signed via Massacre Records, hailing from the glory of Germany - performing Heavy/Thrash Metal, on their 3rd album entitled: “The Hunter And The Prey” (released March 22nd, 2019).Since formation in 2009; the sextet in question have 2 Demos, an EP, and 3 albums in their discography so far. I am introduced to their 3rd album entitled: “The Hunter And The Prey”. 10 songs ranging at around 44:37; DYING GORGEOUS LIESarranges an intricately designed formula of hard-hitting Heavy/Thrash Metal amalgmations, “From The Ashes And Hellfire” begins the record - opening with an operatic hymn, ascending with concretely hardened grit – rising with rambunctiously relentless guitars and poundingly persistent drum and bass blast beatings…excelled with clean pipes of profusely robust rawness. Adroitly flamboyant fabrications here so far; speed, solidity and versatility – ultilized with vehemently unique savagery, sinister malevolence and hasty hostility.Consisting of Liz Gorgeouson vocals; the frontman consistently generates with gnarly contrast of complexly raspy shrieks that manifest with meticulous deadliness, dominating captivation and mistaken hints of male to female creativity. “We Are The Apocalypse” forges this well, converged with fluidly composed devastation - polished with rapidly swift nimbleness from dextrous guitar duo: Mashl J.(also on backing vocals) & T.B.A.on the lead guitar. The catchy “Revolution Day” & “…And As The Bomb Fall” diversely demonstrates diligent dynamics; frolicking with fiercely blistering thunder, stomping seemlessness and sonically thumpy stability – resulting in implementing crunchy chaos and galloping mayhem - stampeding with rampaging onslaughts of rough ramifications…variating with wonderously prodegious transistions.Audible bassist Buzz´D Joe& battering drummer J.J.attribute an organic aesthetic of hammering substance; gloriously electrifying drum cymbals in which distribute smashing systematics of synthesized terror, tracks like “Fatal Craving” & “Ancient Tales” deceive the listener by elementing orchestral components into a barraged frenzy of ominous instrumentation fuelled with firepower and expertise. Grinding excellent executions of grandure; deep guttural growls, grandiosed with dosages of harmonically melodious pummelling – injected and infused with infectiously groovy content in which explodes with detailed efficiencies of rhythmic remedies. Jay`na Don keyboards showcases killer harmonies; chiming with quintessential perseverance, showcasing professional weight – pursuited with vengeful screams of primitively malicious technicalities and progressively riveting musicalities.“Beast Mode” integrates boistrously beastly bounciness; culminated with elegantly exquisite fulfillments, engaged on efficiently meaty malignance and amplified adrenaline while subjugated with an orchestral ensemble in which distinguishes constructively distinctive finesse. “Greetings From Aleppo” provides more razor-sharp roars, embellishing on experimental collectivity - evolving into entertaining laceration that was a joy to the ears. Overall concluding the record with a tribute to METALLICA’s infamous opening riff from “The Day That Never Comes” in the finale song: “Sweet Tastes Of Lies”; this was easily noticeable and a nice throwback to that classic tune, thinking it was a cover song; I did feel a little misslead, however…a brilliant homage and a great finish to the album.Bottom line; the borderline foundation here is full of silver lining musical qualities, DYING GORGEOUS LIEScertainly outdone themselves here and “The Hunter And The Prey” definitely exceeded all original expectations with a crushing sound production and memorably genius craftsmanship - recommended for all Heavy/Thrash Metal maniacs alike - check it out.
