Opera Queen is a symphonic metal band founded in February 2016 by guitarist Roberto Yamato and vocalist Luciana Cascardo, whose essence is to blend the universe of classical music and the dramatization of opera to the weight of heavy metal.The name was created by founder Roberto Yamato who quotes Queen, one of the world's biggest rock bands and a pioneer in joining Rock with elements of classical music and at the same time an allusion to the female members of the band.His first performance would be an open rehearsal in a Bethlehem studio, but the news spread and what would only be a restricted audience of friends eventually turned into a show that reached the maximum capacity of the old Old School house demonstrating that there is a great public for the style and also an audience that longs for something new besides the Heavy, Trash and Death Metal that dominate the scene of Bethlehem.At the beginning of their performances, the band made interpretations of songs from leading international Symphonic Metal bands, such as Nightwish, Epica, Xandria, and also the rock band Evanescense.The highlight of their performance is Broadway's hit "The Phantom of the Opera" that raises and thrilled audiences with their performances.Despite being founded in just over a year and a half the band achieved notoriety for its musical quality and reached the first place in the bands of Pará in a popular vote on Facebook for the Manga Noise festival, popular and traditional bands competing of the setting, but the band's fans made a big move to put Opera Queen on top. Another important event was the band's participation in the event "Belém Cidade Luz Da Amazônia", produced by TV Liberal in October 2016 on a stage with a large structure set up on the Batista Campos square in Belém. In September 2017 the band played for the first time first single at the launch of the Amazon Fashion Week, the main fashion event of the Amazon region held in São José Liberto space, a space that has culture and tourism as transversal elements of its operation. This same place was granted for the recording of the first clip of the band that is already in the process of editing and will be released by the end of the year.
Album:
The band released their first single "Phantasmagoric Symphony" in August 2017 with the collaboration of musicians from the Orchestra of the Theater of Peace, Carlos Gomes Institute and Orchestra of Cellists of the Amazon, this music has a great influence on the work Tocata e Fuga de Johann Sebastian Bach and was recorded in the Fabirka studio and featured the production of Kleber Chaar. Currently the band is working on the production of their first album.
