Bio:

In 2013 Alberto Rionda founded his solo project called ALCHEMY, while Avalanch decide to take an indefinite break. Over time the project has acquired the necessary ingredients to be forged in a band with all of the law. Alberto had two premises when choosing their companions: they were great musicians and great friends. Thus, the elect were Chez García (Alberto partner in Avalanch), Isra Ramos and Ruben Lanuza (Amadeüs members of the band) and drummer Leo Duarte of Cuban origin. The mountains of Asturias witnessed its first meeting to begin building the alchemist dream materialized in November 2013 a self-titled debut. Thirteen songs turned into an incredible sonic journey that recovered the atmosphere of works composed by Alberto Rionda, as 'The Cry of a Hero' and 'The Fallen Angel', adding new sound nuances that were carved in such works as "Death and Life" or "Malefic Time". In the summer of 2015 ALCHEMY returns to the studio to create its continuation in the record field with the album "Spiritual" materialized through the seal Mutus Liber. Again, after a wonderful cover of master Luis Royo, the energy of five unique musicians is transformed into songs.

Album:

The "Alchemy" Alberto Rionda project has been one of the major focuses of the Metal-Hispanic scene in recent years, and not for a few reasons, but one of the most cundidoras, and cheered lot of metalheads ( including a server) was the fact that the Spaniard master musician would return to its roots of Power Metal of the first records of Avalanch. Thus began a project that would in vogue and hard construction until today.Indeed, with Alchemy (acojonante and training, among which are Israel and Chez García Ramos) return to more melodic Metal, something many lack we threw in turned. Suffice it to say that the debut "Alchemy" had little to do with albums like "Lament for a Hero" or "The Fallen Angel". In 2013 we deal with a sample of melodic Power Metal with strong symphonic and neoclassical dyes, although quite dark and mature. Two years later, this 15 September witnessed the release of his highly anticipated second album, "Spiritual", leaving the mouth watering with that magnificent cover (again, by the great artist Luis Royo). Gustoso a beautiful fémina open the doors of every album these alchemists musicians.Rionda and his stand firm and show proof cannon. Thus, this second work begins energizing sack, without introduction or gibberish. With "Indomitable" a maelstrom of-progressive symphonic, neoclassical and forcefulness alchemy at its maximum amplitude (and chorus house brand) is triggered, and not leaving no room unpolished, offers in its instrumental delicious, a real music lover orgy of plucked strings and rubbed. Classic imminent, he said."The flower on ice" appears more relaxed and romantically spring, so the neater style of Avalanch, being undoubtedly the songs that hit the fans. Interestingly, his chorus resembles me quite the classic White Rat, "The legend of the fairy and the magician", without sounding plagiarism, fit clarify, because it sounds like Alchemy hundred percent. And I add and confirm: Israel Ramos increasingly out more in his role as vocalist, a phenomenon."Spiritual" follows the same direction of "Alchemy", although not the same paths, is that it does not deprive the band of instigating new paths. In this sense we have "Exodus" with melodies and guitar and bass tone quite different from the band we are accustomed. The per se function of the orchestra is very personal and interesting. A good proposal, first of all, however, is also the least known song you empathize with me."White knight", on the other hand, brings us back full neoclassicism that magical, eccentric, mysterious ,alchemist, go. I emphasize, above all, its crafted letter and spirit of the orchestra witty, whose crescendo base is accentuated more and more. Also, "Götterdämmerung" is another of the most experimental bets, one, albeit much more slowly and distinctly successful track in the wave of Exodus. With a unique musical condecoradamente label, it is a haughty expression of maturity, since that only leadership of Alberto Rionda to the orchestral immersion imbues the piece, as if the beating of his heart is involved. We again look towards the melodic Metal top-notch hand the title track, "Spiritual". The song is awakened by the sound of synthesizers, which eventually intermixed between rhythmic guitars and keyboards. Speaking of keyboards, to applaud is the tremendous work of Chez Garcia, great!"Vulnerable" is another proof of how to get away without overburdening or overproduce the product. So, with that curious sound achievement between keyboards and acoustic guitars, the song unfolds in a smooth and harmonious environment such as wind, lax toccata in which the voice of Israel is accompanied and guided by the bass Rubén Lanuza and battery Leo Duarte. And do not think that the song sins of simplicity, I advise listening carefully to discover his true identity, more nuanced than, apparently, it seems to have.Well ... "black sun". What to say about this song, which was already several months ago. And it's funny how quickly and easily it has reached the heart of the Fanes, which is already considered by many as an indispensable part of Alchemy, made mainly arguable as a result of his recital debut at the X edition of the festival Legends of Rock, ... live and work swimmingly (trust me, corroborated by experience). With symphonic explosion included (a huge job to productive level), the ironic situation about his striking resemblance to "The Wolf and the Ark" is set at such times. And it's ironic, because "black sun" is so great, so majestic and magnificent, that this character languish points compared with the extension of the findings. It this point, it seems complicated again surprise us with something impressive. Against all odds, here I am, extolling the great "To die for nothing." A first extols something shocking moments, in which the bass and drums will welcome us to the classic style of the Heavy Metal. However, it soon emerges your own stuff, pure symphonic Power Metal, with one of the most unexpectedly exceptional choruses of the whole collection. If anything proved Alberto Rionda on the debut of Alchemy it is that knows how to close a disc clockwise. Far from knowing what is disappointing, it is interposed between the outcome and the listener "United Souls", in which the brightest melody (presented at the very beginning, as an a capella) will be total and absolute. Energetic, powerful and above all, projecting a very human message."Spiritual" it is one of those albums that remain in the memory long, long time. Alchemy has managed to create, by and for the public, an excellent work from head to toe.I must say, however, that is not even remarkable perfect record. Even, it would place a step below the first album of the band. To make things clear, at no time peaks as high as "The Wolf and the Ark" and "The Amityville Alchemist" (much less this second example) are reached. However, Alchemy does propose a disc with true attitude, a unmatched production work, training with a state of emotional and commendable health and, why not, true music alchemy of life and chance. Indomitable", "White Knight", "To die for nothing" ... with a repertoire of this size will cane and reason to be present at what these Asturians have booked us for the near future. You knew well the first ride Alchemy? "Spiritual" will be a good advance to continue enjoying the field of glory, gradually being forged musical based on professionalism, enthusiasm and passion. They not for nothing is one of the great promises of Spanish rock scene.
