Saturna was formed in November, 2010 in Barcelona as a project to develop some of Rod’s (bass) musical ideas with the help of his friends Aureli and Henry (guitars) and Patrick (vocals), who would end up becoming part of the band.After a year working on song writing Saturna released their debut album ‘The Kingdom of Spirit’ in May, 2012 which was highly acclaimed both on the internet and national press and was considered to be among the best albums of the year. Not longer after that, Saturna returned to the studio in the end of 2012 in order to record what would turn out to be their second album, ‘Ignis’. Mastered by Billy Anderson (Sleep, Om, Neurosis...), the album was released in November 2013. Having tried out various people behind the drum kit, Saturna has recently completed its line up when Enric (Evilhorse) joined the band. Currently the band is presenting their second album with the recent incorporation of Jimmy as the new singer.
