We are Killing John Doe, Killing a "John Doe" means to evolve...to become one state of existance you have to "kill" another. To evolve you have to leave behind a primative previous state, to become something else you have to leave the other "else" behind. We like you intend to leave another state to become an enlightened state. To become a new being...a new entity and the process continues. Killing the old and creating the new, thats Killing John Doe...evolution, creating, metabolic....Thats who we are and thats our music.Sean and Chris have played with each other in previous bands dating back to the late 1990's with influences of Randy Rhoads, Dimebag Darrel, Zak Wylde, Crowbar, Tool, Sepultura, etc...Urban/Industrial Metal....Curtis became interested in the material in 2010, seeking to form a new genre composed in classical, blues, soul, and new age. Greg and Stephen (our percussion and rhythm section) joined one year after the original trio collaborated and Killing John Doe was created. The talented and driven drum lines and melodic/pop bass bring to life the thrashing, blusey, structured background for a soul singer that intensifies their "sonic" tone.
