Silvertrain is a French hard rock band formed in Strasbourg in 1978.Composed of Christian Kintz on drums, Martin Schwentzel on bass, Christian Fischbach on guitar and vocals of Philip YBORRA, the band released their first album, Please Which Platform in 1979. The opportunity for the group , going on tour in France but also in Germany to share the stage with Motorhead, Rose Tattoo, or, even, Foreigner. 1981 release of the single Keep The Flame, which sold 10,000 copies, but due to internal problems, the quartet separates. 2013 death of guitarist Christian Fischbach. Blow to YBORRA singer Philippe, who makes a point of honor to revive Silvertrain, this time with a new Line Up. To surround it uses Marine Courtin on bass, Erwan Eveno on drums, Frédéric Kus and Mathieu Colin guitars. Same approach to Live In Death, with its chorus kind Thin Lizzy two guitars, or, even, on Pity And Forgiveness, in a style reminiscent of Riot Americans. In a true registry Heavy Rock of the 70's, we feast on My Neighborhood, with its chopped riff, although sharp, and its chorus shredder, but also on The Night Of Oblivion, with its sharp riff, its good chorus and his very melodic chorus. Faster, there is Silvertrain, the title track of the album, with good low gimmick / battery, developed by Erwan and Navy, but also, Stop It, with its English side of Judas Priest type. Besides removed, we delight in The Sanctuary, with its gallopante guitar, but also, Next New World, with a very 80's atmosphere reminiscent of U2 / Simple Minds atmospheres, or, even, on Heros, with its very effective chorus. In more progressive, we Child Killer, with its alternation of murky and dark climates, very Blue Oyster Cult. Finally, the combo offers us a ballad to heavy chorus, whose name Blind Life, reminiscent of UFO or, Scorpions, sublimated by its chorus two guitars at once, melodic, and air . In short, you'll understand that this is an album old school flavor, well put together, and that is listened pleasantly.
