Black Veil Brides are an American rock band based in Hollywood, California. The group formed in 2006 in Cincinnati, Ohio and is currently composed of Andy Biersack (lead vocals), Ashley Purdy (bass, backing vocals), Jake Pitts (lead guitar), Jinxx (rhythm guitar, violin) and Christian "CC" Coma (drums). Black Veil Brides are known for their use of black makeup, body paint, tight black studded clothing, and long hair, which were all inspired by Kiss' and Mötley Crüe's stage persona, as well as other 1980s glam metal acts.The band was originally formed in Cincinnati, Ohio in 2006 by Andy Biersack.Eventualy Andy relocated to Los Angeles, California.In September 2009 he formed a new band, using the current name Black Veil Brides, and signed with the independent label StandBy Records.The writing process for a tour and a record began immediately. Black Veil Brides shared a common vision for their self-titled fourth album: "We want this album to disassemble everything," confirms Andy. "We wanted to go to the last tour as soon as possible because back in the rehearsal room and write songs together and see, now it is the hardest rock 'n' roll album become what we have ever done."Black Veil Brides was founded in 2006 by Andrew Biersack, Johnny Herold and Phil "Catalyst" Cendella. A little later, Nate Shipp and Chris Riesenberg were added.The name Black Veil Brides is a term from the Roman Catholic Church. If a woman in the Middle Ages became a nun, abandoned all their worldly pleasures and her life had dedicated to God, it was as black veil bride (ed): referred (black veil, German »black veil"). For the band, the name also refers to the positive and negative sides of life: the white veil at a wedding and the black veil of mourning.With legendary producer Bob Rock [Metallica, Mötley Crüe] arose a boundless and unbridled energy at the same time. Bob has proven to be very important in order to initiate the process.
