Robert "Rob" John Tognoni (born October 30, 1960 in Ulverstone, Tasmania) is an Australian rock-blues guitarist. His feeling for the blues-rock is characterized by its sophisticated technique to advantage. In his play, he combines classic rock elements like power chords and driving riffs in the style of the rock band AC / DC with the Blues. His music is especially musicians like BB King and Jimi Hendrix as well as the aforementioned band AC / DC influences.

The Tasmanian Devil) was discovered by fellow Australian slide guitar master Dave Hole, who brought him to Europe and to the attention of Provogue Records, where Rob released 4 albums between 1996 and 2002. That year the Provogue label changed ownership and the new proprietor's taste was more slanted towards Texas Blues as opposed to Rob's heavier on the Rock style, motivating the Australian to leave the label. Reclaiming his musical freedom Rob Tognoni recorded his next album, "Retro Shakin'" in 2002 and manufactured a limited edition of copies myself that he sold exclusively on tour. Subsequently he signed with Blues Boulevard Records, and has released 7 albums with that company so far. Remembering how much fun he had recording "Retro Shakin'", Rob suggested to label owner Alfie Falckenbach that the album be awarded a proper official release, so here it is, now more aptly titled "The Lost Album", after 12 years, finally released, no longer lost.The Lost Album contains 13 uncompromising hard-rocking Blues tracks that jump out of your speakers and slap you around the ears.
