Victoria K's covers include Iron Maiden's "The Trooper", Nightwish's "Last Ride Of The Day", Metallica's "Nothing Else Matters" and Kamelot's "Insomnia", the latter having received attention from the band on Twitter, leading to a meeting of talents when the American power metalleers found themselves in Melbourne during their Australian The Shadow Theory tour in 2018.

Rockshots Records is proud to announce the signing of Australia's Victoria K for the release of her debut album, "Essentia", in April 2020. The full-length album was produced by Lee Bradshaw and features special guest Michalina Malisz (Eluveitie). The Melbourne singer/songwriter has made her mark on the rock and metal scene with the release of her debut single "Monster" in 2016, featuring guitar work by Brett Garsed (John Farnham Band) along with her 2019 follow-up track "Lacuna", distributed in Australia and New Zealand by Warner Music Group (Australia), being the lead single off her upcoming album. The single garnered a lot of media praise and created an opportunity for Victoria K to support Swiss folk metal giants Eluveitie for their May 2019 tour date in Melbourne, a performance that had the crowd chanting for an encore. Although the album was originally a solo project, it has now developed into the current band structure with each member bringing an own energy and experience to the collective. The band is looking forward to collaborate on future releases and is now heavily focused on the release of this debut album.Victoria K adds: "Essentia is Latin for 'essence': the indispensable quality of something that determines its very nature or character. So I guess the album as a whole tries to tackle and define the very nature of humanity. In a way, I’m trying to unravel the complexity of human essence and emotion. It all hopefully leads to being struck by a moment of Sonder - therefore the realization that everyone, including strangers, has a life as complex as our own, despite our lack of awareness of it."

Album:

Australia's Victoria K returns in 2022 for the release of the sophomore album "Kore" via Rockshots Records, to follow the 2020 debut album "Essentia". Offering a progressive symphonic sound, "Kore" was specifically written to provide a full orchestral experience that drives people through a sonic journey of growth and grandeur. A concept record, "Kore" explores modern-day issues through the Homeric Hymn to Demeter (the story of Persephone). Victoria K conceptualized the idea for the album with her producer Lee Bradshaw and then spent many months researching and analyzing the Homeric Hymn to Demeter, even meeting with experts of the Homeric Hymns from Greece. The story was then broken up into its different parts where Victoria Knight wrote the lyrics and developed the melodies for each section of the tale, exploring the myth from a modern perspective. The tracks were written specifically to encapsulate the various sections of the Homeric Hymn to Demeter and tell the story chronologically through each song and the music grows in intensity throughout the record capturing the emotional state of Persephone and other characters as the story progresses. The various instruments were then written by Victoria around the lyrics and further enhanced and developed through the production process. Lee Bradshaw then finalized the songs by writing orchestral scores for each song, which were recorded live in Europe, before the final mixing and mastering.
