The CROHM first group Heavy Metal in the Valle d'Aosta, born in the autumn of 1985 when a devastating earthquake in Mexico City and the bands of the Valle d'Aosta are organized for a fundraising concert at the Teatro Giacosa. The debut with the song "Quake" ( "Tremble") on 6 February 1986. Claudio Zac Zanchetta (guitar), Richard Taraglio (bass, vocals), Sergio Fiorani (vocals) are the original lineup and stable band that eventually 80s performs collaborating with different musicians (Filippo Bosio, battery; Gianpiero Framarin, guitar; Jeff Vinci, drums), participating in the concert circuit throughout the Valle d'Aosta playing in Verres, Morgex and Aosta and recording " Quake "and" A Long Day Begun "included in" AO002 "disc with Gianpaolo Passanante on guitar. In 1987, they are playing on different occasions dedicated concerts and in February 1988 they make their last appearance at the "Divine" of Aosta. After 26 years, 15 May 2014, there was their reunion on the occasion of the exhibition "These Years: Ottantavoglia to meet again" conceived by journalist Gaetano Lo Presti with the original lineup, amazing the audience and arousing interest in sound yet energetic, good stage presence and arrangement of the pieces ... after twenty years seasoning! Since that time they played on several occasions to the Rock'n'Roll of Aosta and in festivals and clubs in the Valle d'Aosta. In late December 2014, with Mark Manganaro on drums, recorded at Studio TDE Simon Momo Riva Saint Christophe (AO) the CD "Legend and Prophecy" which collects nine tracks of a heavy metal classic with a modern twist, with musical collaborations two pieces with harpist Vincenzo Zitello, violinist and cellist Milo Molteni Serena Costenaro. In September 2015 enters CROHM drummer Fabio Cannatà In October 2016 recorded at Studio MusicInk Giulio Capone Paruzzaro-Arona (NO) on "Humanity" CD which contains 9 tracks of rough Heavy Metal compounds after the reunion, with the collaboration at the piano in "Nothing Else" by Giulio Capone (Temperance, Bejelit, Black Oceans). Fourth full-length album.CROHM, the first and historical Aosta Valley heavy metal band in activity since 1985/1988 and from 2014 to the present, in the last seven years has recorded "Legend And Prophecy" (2015), "Humanity" (2017), "Failure In The System" (2020) and the live album "Paindemic" (2021), performing in over 50 live shows, representing the Aosta Valley at the national finals of Arezzo Wave 2020 and including the video "The Wash-Sin Machine" in the film "The Chain", an American suspense-thriller presented at Cannes 2022 and distributed worldwide by Lionsgate, directed by Stefano Milla, whose cast includes Jason R. Moore ("The Punisher") and Mishael Lopes Cardozo ("Vikings", "Game of Thrones").Italian heavy metal band CROHM is excited to reveal that its new album, entitled “King of Nothing”, will be released on May 3rd! The record will feature 11 tracks for over 46 minutes playing time, giving everything that die-hard heavy metal fans may expect!“King of Nothing” ideally continues the band’s previous works in content. In fact, it moves into the territories of the soul, touching its most hidden corners, sometimes with a very intimate story, other times with a more collective narrative of the human soul. A dark journey through man’s ‘evil of living’ and society’s contradictions, tempered by moments of perceived joy and the desire not to give up hope. In terms of musical style, the album traverses many territories, from Heavy Metal to Thrash, touching on Progressive, sometimes winking at Hard Rock, thus triggering a reshuffling of the cards that makes CROHM‘s music peculiar, transversal to defined genres, emphasizing each time the sense of the soul’s tale with an appropriate atmosphere. As with their previous work “Failure in the System” from 2020, the recording and editing of “King of Nothing” took place in an essentially ‘live’ mode in order to keep the overall sound real and warm, preferring it to perhaps more precise, but sometimes cold or artificial solutions.CROHM was formed in 1985 and they were the first heavy metal band from the Aosta Valley region. After the reunion in 2014, the first album “Legend and Prophecy” was released in 2015, followed by “Humanity” (2017), “Failure in the System” (2020), and “Paindemic” (2021). The band played with the likes of DGM, Folkstone, and Mägo de Oz.“King of Nothing” was recorded by Momo Riva at TDE Studio.
