From the large and populous city of Austin - capital of the US state of Texas - comes the steaming debut album from the irreverent quintet Mean Mistreater. Entitled 'Razor Wire', it's released with the author's stamp on LP, CD and digital formats, and is based on frenetic, fiery, furious and athletic heavy metal with a traditionalist ideology that turns its cogs in a hallucinatory, abrasive, combative and gallant way, abrasive, combative and galloping Heavy Rock, this first album by the young Texan band scorches, inflames and sets its listeners on fire with a feverish adrenaline that phosphorises and amotivates them from the first song to the last. Driven and fuelled by ferocity, intensity and fire, Mean Mistreater's dynamic, restless and volcanic sound takes off on a titanic, savage and tireless ride with bloodied spurs and drawn swords. With fists clenched and raised high, glasses of beer overflowing and sweaty bodies whirling in a redemptive riot fuelled by pure excitement, we embark on this unbridled, unbridled and incessant rush of 'Razor Wire' on the dizzying ride of two predatory guitars that roll out greasy, fervent, furious and powerful riffs, and unleash cyclonic gales of trepidatious, impulsive, ostentatious and centrifugal solos, a solid bass with nervous, tense, dense and sombre lines, a machine-gun drums to a boisterous, bombastic, exciting and sprawling rhythm, and a feline, urticating, melodic and feminine voice that leads this unruly motorbike club with distinction. This is a truly addictive album, short in duration but travelling at high speed, which only slows down suddenly on the last track. It's an intensely dizzying, glorious and fulminating record that dames, flames and throws you into the violent centre of the mosh pit.
