We are a Brazilian heavy metal band that was formed in 2018 in Porto Alegre/RS by Francis Lima (bass and vocals), Rafael Drinkwine (drums) and Daniel Limas (guitar).We’ve known each other for so long and have played together in other bands. One day we talked about joining forces to start a new band, so Goaten was born.We have already worked with 2 heavy metal labels called Cianeto Discos and Metal on Metal Records to split costs of pressing and distribute our CDs. The Brazilian metal scene is strong but it’s still underground. There’s no major labels in the heavy metal scene but there’s a lot of public and most of the bands help each other.We love 80s metal, doom metal, thrash, all the classic stuff. We can mention Judas Priest, King Diamond, Sepultura, Candlemass, Accept, Motley Crüe, Malmsteen, In Solitude, Motorhead, Van Halen, Black Sabbath... the list is endless.We are in the final mixing session of our second EP called "Crimson Moonlight". This is the first time we publish its name. The release date is October 20. We are also working on new songs for our debut album to be released in 2022.We have some gigs scheduled in Argentina next year. We are also talking to some promoters of Bulgaria and Romania to play there soon. We hope the pandemic finishes soon to achieve this and people live their lives again.

The Brazilian heavy metal band GOATEN was founded in early 2018 in the metropolitan region of Porto Alegre, Rio Grande do Sul. The band members are Francis Lima on bass and vocals, Rafael DrinkWine on drums, and Daniel Limas on guitar. Their music is primarily based on traditional 80s heavy metal, influenced by bands like Judas Priest, Accept, and King Diamond.In 2019, the band released their first singles, "Soul Decay" and "Mistress of Illusion". While preparing for the release of their debut EP, the trio toured Rio Grande do Sul and other states in the southern region of Brazil.In March 2020, the band dropped their debut EP titled "The Following", featuring 5 tracks. It was released on CD by the Cianeto Discos label and on streaming platforms, receiving positive reviews from both national and international critics.In March 2021, GOATEN released the first single from their second EP, titled "Bells". This song was featured on the soundtrack of the film "The Macabre" by Grime House Films. In October 2021, the band released the 5 tracks from their second EP, "Crimson Moonlight", on digital platforms, keeping the partnership with Cianeto Discos for the CD release, as well as a special cassette edition, combining their two EPs, under the Czech label Tapes of Terror Records.In 2022, the band released the single "Phantom Chaser". The full album "Midnight Conjuring" released in November 2023, keeping the partnership with Cianeto Discos and Tapes of Terror Records.
