Bio:

Crown of Glory represents power, wonderful and catchy melodies, wicked choral lines and meaningful lyrics. Crown of Glory are: Hene Muther (vocals), Philipp Meier (keyboards), Markus Muther (guitar), Hungi Berglas (guitar), Jonas Lüscher (bass) and Marcel Burgener (drums). Crown of Glory is best placed in the field of melodic metal, with influences from AOR and power metal. Fans of Europe, Pretty Maids, Stratovarius, Royal Hunt and Edguy won’t be disappointed by the sound of Crown of Glory. As a proof, the mini CD “Destiny” (2001) and “Spirit” (2005) received good to excellent reviews worldwide. “Destiny” was even chosen as Demo of the Month by the German Magazine “Break Out”! On several occasions, Crown of Glory was able to show its potential live on stage, for instance as opener for Doro, Axel Rudi Pell, Blaze, Bruce Kullick, Candlemass and Shakra. During the year, they play approximately 15-20 gigs throughout Switzerland and Southern Germany. In October and November 2006, Crown of Glory produced their first longplayer “A Deep Breath of Life” at the House of Audio Studios in Karlsdorf (Germany). The final touch to the CD was given by Dennis Ward (Pink Cream 69), who mixed the album in January 2007. The longplayer is the result of a thoroughgoing band forging ahead: Having come a long way from their humble beginnings in 1998, Crown of Glory have, against all odds, never given up their love for their music and their belief in heavy metal.. It’s a must to see Crown of Glory live on stage – better even to hear them…but best of all is to experience them.

Album:

An album that will make you pray they don’t wait another six years for the follow up.Swiss misters Crown of Glory have been missing in action on the album front since their well received debut in 2008, but after six long years of hard concert work they’ve finally decided to give it another go. Power Metal to the hilt, they are six strapping young lads, half of whom could swap passports, so ‘identikit Metal band’ are they.Regardless of how they may look, it all comes down to the music and COG certainly don’t disappoint, not even a tiny bit. ‘King For A Day’ makes great use of the twin guitars and keyboard, playing around with power and melody in equal measure. It’s all pretty dramatic stuff, varying between chest beating Metal (‘The End Of The Line’), Power Metal (‘One Fine Day’) and Hard Melodic Rock (‘The Hunter’).Hene Muther does himself proud on vocals, bringing a very Helloween-esque tint to many of the songs and helped out by some nicely produced backing vocals throughout. Add to this some intelligently used keyboards, the obligatory widdly guitar solos and pounding drums and you have an album that ticks all the right boxes.Crown of Glory are certainly more Helloween than DragonForce, but have won me over with some very polished, melodic songs. ‘King For A Day’ is an album that will make you pray they don’t wait another six years for the follow up.

It is hard to imagine this Swiss scene without Crown Of Glory. The band has been quite active in the scene for years and has made a name for itself and a huge fan base by means of countless concerts in their home country, Germany, Spain and Italy – among many other big names such as Alice Cooper, Five Finger Death Punch, H.E.A.T or Hammerfall.… and not to forget: the band regularly travels to their concerts with their own tour bus full of fans!Crown Of Glory are: Hene Muther (vocals), Markus Muther (guitar), Hungi Berglas (guitar), Jonas Lüscher (bass), Lukas Soland (drums) and Oliver Schumacher (keyboards).Crown Of Glory established their music in the melodic metal genre with influences from AOR and power metal. Their strength clearly lies in the catchy hooklines which capture the audience already after the first listening. The compositions cover quite a huge range of the above-mentioned music styles, but still know how to surprise again and again with unexpected tunes. In short, a firework of metal anthems! It is not without reason that the first two albums of the band, “A DEEP BREATH OF LIFE” and “KING FOR A DAY”, were celebrated and praised in European metal magazines. Fans of bands like Pretty Maids, Stratovarius, Royal Hunt and Edguy will definitely not be disappointed by the sound of Crown Of Glory. It is not an exaggeration to say that the new album “AD INFINITUM” can qualify as one of the most anticipated metal albums of 2020 within the underground scene. The first single “What I’m Made Of”, which was released in May 2020, caused quite a stir already and has given a hint of what to expect on “AD INFINITUM”, which is hardly surprising as the band cooperated with such big names as Thomas Plec Johansson, mix & mastering (H.E.A.T., Soilwork, Night Flight Orchestra, Gathering Of Kings, Nocturnal Rites), or Rolf Munkes, co-producer (Crematory), during the production of the album.“AD INFINITUM” is the result of a band on their uncompromising path starting at the very bottom, that has never let any adversities dissuade them from their love for music and their belief in heavy metal. The album will be released as CD, Download, Streaming and double 12″ white vinyl edition.
