Since 2013, DAUGHTERS' DESIRE from contemplative Siegen have set out to write "melodic music that will appeal to cowards and radio listeners alike". Basically, the five-member young band from the Siegen-Wittgenstein area does exactly what sounds so simple, but is very difficult to realise: really good (hard) rock music whose roots clearly go back to the seventies and eighties.Our debut album is finished, but sadly, as some of you may have guessed from our inactivity over these last couple of years, it‘s also kind of a farewell. Know this, however: Should we ever have a complete lineup again, we‘d be thrilled to perform our material for you.In the meantime, Daniele and David have started a heavy metal band called Æternia. There will soon be news on this!Making the DD-record was more difficult than we‘d expected. During the writing and recording of the record, it gradually became apparent that we had diverging opinions on the band‘s future. Another problem certainly was the significant delay caused by the number of people involved in the recording process, as well as the attitude of some of them. Fortunately, we could draw on the vast experience of studio owners Uli Metzger and Ramon Smith, the latter of which stepped in when things were looking really bad and did an awesome mix. We thank both from the depths of our hearts, as well as Marlene Neumann who helped with the design of the logo and artwork.

Great debut album.At first glance, the album already has a terrible peculiarity that is becoming more and more common among musicians who feel connected to a certain style, namely that you can already guess the music direction from the cover. And such a cover can look really crappy, the main thing is that you can assign DAUGHTERS' DESIRE to metal and hard rock without hearing it.Instead of wide-legged metal music, I listened to fiery, even well-recorded hard rock from the 80s and 90s, which is very close to the great, unmistakable idols, without degenerating into an "oh-that-sounds-exactly-like", but is presented with the very passion and playfulness conjured up in the interview.But if you trust your ears, you'll get hard rock with a lot of melody and a few metallic moments, which not only inspire us for five tracks, but also encourage us to get our old Deep Purple, Rainbow and White Snake records out of the record cupboard again.True to one of the best RAINBOW albums, DAUGHTERS' DESIRE live out exactly what gave the album of one of their great idols its name: "Long live Rock'n'Roll"!
