Hitten is a heavy metal band founded in Spain in summer 2011 in Murcia, with some more classical influences being the EP "Darkness Queen" his first letter.In 2012 they released their first demo entitled "Shake the world". In 2013 come the changes and Adrian left the band, becoming Manuel Soler new vocalist. With it, they edit a single called "Evil Power". After touring several points of the Spanish geography manage to give their first concert outside the country, in the famous Belgian festival, HEAVY SOUND FESTIVAL. Later that same year comes another new change becoming the alicantino Aitor, who is in charge of being behind the microphone. With this new formation again Belgian lands and after several concerts and festivals around the peninsula, once entered in 2014 decide to get into the studio to release their first album called "First Strike With The Devil" being released in CD format by a Greek company ( no Remorse Records) LP by a German company (Heavy Forces Records) and MC by a Thai company (Roots Active) achieving significant criticism. After the exit of this album embark on their first European tour visiting countries like Germany, France, Holland, Belgium and Greece within the festival Rock You To Hell. 2015 comes strong for the band sharing the stage with people like Red Baron (band) or Hell revisiting countries like France or Germany and for the first time, Portugal. That same year a single called "Do not be late" theme ahead for the next album also includes an unreleased track and a version of the German Mad Max (band) is edited. On the other hand, it is decided to dispense with Dani Argilés and instead goes Johnny, murciano guitarist who has worked with bands like Papa Snake, Raging Fire, etc. With this current training records what it is the second work of the band called "State of Shock", scheduled to start on March 1, 2016, which has a luxury collaboration as Todd Michael Hall, known vocalist American Riot (band), Harlet, Reverend among others. After another small change to the battery, Antonio decides to leave the band and enters his place Juan Carlos, in March embark on a tour of 18 dates with Ambush Swedes once again visiting countries like Germany, Belgium, France or first once Italy.Heavy Metal Forces United a musical tour with Swedish metal band band Ambush in Europe in March 2016.

First things first, it’s so good to have a change of hearts, isn’t it? Metal provides that for us. Last review was of a complex, dark, dense, and doomy band. Now I’ve got something more happy, let’s use this word better. Hitten have an up mood, that’s it. Hitten are a travel in time. To the time of bands like Dokken, Ratt, Warrant, Poison, and many other. I confess this kind of Metal pleases me. It has always pleased. Many will say more of the same, but I really don’t care.Hitten with “Twist of Fate” explore the good side of 1980’s LA Metal. That kind of Metal which saw itself in big trouble when thrash and other extreme metal bands took over. They were heavy, but not so heavy to please the incipient extreme metal scene fans. Anyway, I like the term heavy to them all. It fits best because that’s what they are heavy, not extreme-velocity. Songs like “Take It All” explains better Hitten music. The thing that calls the eye in this kind of how highlighted guitars are. Exactly what Hitten do in “Final Warning” and its flamboyant guitar riffs.Title track, “Twist of Fate,” shows how Hitten have drank profusely in 1980’s bands. Though there aren’t changes in tempo and pace in their songs, songs vary a lot. Each song has a different story to tell. That’s what bands used to day back in the day. So good to know the style is alive and well. Thanks to bands like Hitten. It’s nice to listen again to a singer like Alexx Panza, very well-tuned with a neat voice. The dude has big pitch. Wonderful voice.BTW, the very first notes of “Svccvbvs” sound a lot like Metallica’s “The Call of Ktulu.” Don’t let Lars listen to it, guys. However, it leads to the great “Evil Within.”Hitten “Twist of Fate” will be released on September 14th via High Roller Records

“Triumph Tragedy” is a celebration to the late 1980s Hard’n’Heavy with a sonancy that differs from the pioneers of Hard Rock. This sonancy of combination of NWOBHM with some more melodic sonancies and insane riffing. It’s faster and more striking. However, the more melodic passages avoid the heavyness or sweeten the a little. But that’s a characteristic of this sonancy. Hitten are a great represention of this kind of sound. The fan will notice that the guitars sometimes are interwooven by some keyboards that can sweeten or give some more interesting sound to the songs. The fan will also notice that the guitrars are more present. They participe a lot more in the songs with a heavy and clear sound. And vocals. Well, vocals are something else in the music. Depending on the talent of the vocalist the music goes smoother or harder. They kind of lead the songs or all the album. The music can go harsher and heavier or drawn in a sea of sweet tears and sugared water. For the fan’s sake, Hitten don’t fall in this trap of sugaring too much their music. Ok, it’s not heavy enough for extreme metallers but it’s in a good balance between the heavyness and the emotion. The same sonance that reminds a lot Tokyo Blade in the first place.The album is open up with the frentic and heavy-boogied “Built to Rock” whose insane rhythm gets the fan by the guts. A great album poener with all the adrenaline and energy Metal fans love. A big hell yeah to the drummer Marco Prij who keeps the insane rhythm and cadence all the time. Another hell yeah to guitarists Dani Meseguer and Johnny Lorca who do a great job keeping the balance with striking guitar riffs and great solos. Pay attention to “Light Beyond the Darkness” and notice the amazing guitar work where each note is the proper place. Look how they fast forward the cadence and bring another mood to the song.Here we’ve got an album that is a celebration to life. Metal needs this energy and power and the right dose of rhythm. Everyday doesn’t have to be a hell on Earth.Hitten “Triumph Tragedy” will be released on November 26th via High Roller Records.

Album:

First Strike With The Devil - Revisited is an album by Hitten, released in 2023. First Strike With The Devil - Revisited includes the songs: "Demons," "Evil Power," "Looking For Action," "Ladykiller" and many others.Hitten have attracted a fair bit of attention in recent years, partly due to their signing on High Roller Records and also as a result of the Spanish group releasing some of the best classic heavy metal from continental Europe. Back in 2014, the quintet still had a lot to prove and - barring the questionable cover art - did a good job on debut album First Strike with the Devil. Perhaps the influence of groups like Riot and Lizzy Borden seem slightly too obvious, though seeing Striker and the Swedish speed/heavy scene becoming bigger on the weight of the same sound may have encouraged Hitten too.Whatever the case regarding their thinking, songs like ‘Evil Power’ and ‘Ladykiller’ offer classic heavy metal that slides both into speedy territories and hard rock singalongs, rarely becoming boring as a result of a decent pace and solid performances. Aitor Navarro displays pipes that have a touch of power metal to them, using vibrato to slightly change the usual raunchy feel of something like ‘Looking for Action’, making it sound like he’s looking for a sword and sandals quest rather than to play a great show. (Oddly, Hitten don’t seem aware of the innuendo that “action” usually implies.) The band carries out all of this with a sense of urgency and dedication to the power of both riff and chorus, aiding Navarro with backing vocals and piling into each song with great energy, helped by a powerful combo guitar and bass tone.On the other hand, the band seem unafraid of mixing things up, bringing out mood-setting acoustic guitars on ‘Demons’ and ‘Nightmares Come True’, as well as playing a long slow instrumental section in ‘Ladykiller’ that smells both of bad intentions and the power of walking through the streets wearing denim and leather. Therefore, atmosphere is neither absent nor abundant, doing just enough to keep the ‘80s vibe in place without going into specifics. The only time I think definitely of any other band comes during the intro of ‘Demons’, which features an oddly familiar voiceover: I could swear that it was Biff Byford, but I know that Biff would never do a Spanish accent for love or money. Then again, perhaps the similarity just goes to prove that Hitten were destined to grow into one of the better heavy/speed bands of recent times, something that seems apparent even from this slightly generic debut.
