Bio:

Pink Cream 69 is a German hard rock/heavy metal band founded in 1987 in Karlsruhe, Germany by Andi Deris, Dennis Ward, Kosta Zafiriou and Alfred Koffler. The band gained their first contract by winning music magazine Metal Hammer 's newcomer competition in Ludwigsburg one year after forming. In 1994, Andi Deris left the band to join German power metal band Helloween. He was replaced by British singer David Readman. The band, often referred to as The Pinkies, became a five-piece in 2003, when Uwe Reitenauer was hired to support neuropathic guitar player Alfred Koffler. On 5 March 2012 it was announced that drummer Kosta Zafiriou had left the band, due to his various activities as a manager at the company Bottom Row and as the drummer and manager of the new band Unisonic, which also features Dennis Ward. He was replaced by band's good friend and longtime drum tech Chris Schmidt, who has previously played with Sunstorm project (along with Dennis Ward and Uwe Reitenauer), Harry Hess' FIRST SIGNAL and more.

Album:

Pink Cream 69 was the first full-length album from Pink Cream 69. It was released in 1989.Though this isn't exactly a metal album in its sense -- it draws much, much more from 1980s hard rock -- it's one of my favorites from the so-called "hair band" genre, which I have something of a love/hate relationship with. It has a sound remotely similar to Motley Crue, David Lee Roth, and Bon Jovi, but has its own sound, and is a little bit faster-paced and heavier in its instruments with a little less BS in its themes -- it's not exactly "cock rock."Andi Deris, who later joined Helloween, does the vocals for this album, and sings with more range and vocal ability than the average 80s hard rock band. The guitar solos aren't over the top, but are well-done. The guitar solos are well played and tie the songs together well, the riffs are solid for hard rock, and the bassist is very noticeable and adds a lot. It's something of a pop album, and I'm surprised it didn't have more success -- almost all of the songs on the album stand out, and are very catchy. Some of them are rather cheesy, but they're well done enough that I can see past it.If you happen to also like 80s-style hard rock in addition to metal, you'll probably love this album.

Album:

Sonic Dynamite is the seventh album by German band Pink Cream 69.In Sonic Dynamute, Pink Cream 69 brings an good and easy Hard Rock/Metal that at first listen will remind you of Dokken.Let be as forthcoming as possible. It is one of the best hard rock album I have heard since Bon Jovi 'Keep The Faith'.There are two major attraction on this CD (excluding the wonderful digipack cover). First one is trapped in the lyrics.I let you discover by your own some very interesting image about our society. The second one is called : Ultra Mega Melodic (UMM). Wonderful choirs always escorted with 'singing' guitars. A pure pleasure for our ears. Pink Cream's songs will stays in your head for a very very long time. Don't be astonished to sing some of them even if 'Sonic Dynamite' is not running anymore in your CD player. We think at Seas Of Madness, Followed By The Moon, The Spirit , Speed Of Light, Shattered Prophecy.I found my self astonished to sing some..guitar riffs. Congratulations guys. This is what I call a buy or die album for all fans of Bon Jovi, Danger Danger, Sleelhouse Lane, Axxis. The kind of album you put in your car for a 'sunny' ride..at the speed of light !!!Recorded & mixed at House of Audio Studios Karlsdorf, Germany, October - December 1999. Mastered at House of Audio Studios.Additional guitar-tracking in Alfred Koffler's (Koffl') livingroom.

Album:

PINK CREAM 69, a name that can be regarded as a milestone in German Metal and around the world. I remember buying their first album and didn't know what to expect. Whether it is going to be another HELLOWEEN version or not? But I after listening it, I was forever theirs. It was pure Glam Metal with rage and powerful riffs, ballsier than the U.S Glam bands. I followed up PINK CREAM 69 till their 3rd album and then left them aside. With songs like "Welcome The Night", "Sign Of Danger" and "Keep Your Eye On The Twisted", PINK CREAM 69 kept themselves a warm place in my heart. “Ceremonial” is their new album, soon I noticed that it went rather more into the Hard Rock, than actual Metal, with a new fresh sound and melodic. Often there is that AORtouch."Land Of Confusion" the first track didn't make the album take off. Sure it has a very heavy riff along with some oriental atmosphere, yet still not convincing. For me the album started with the second track "Wasted Years" following a positive spirit of freedom. It has a cheesy chorus, but it fulfilled its purpose as a memorable moment. "Special" is my favorite track, it has an old school derived guitar riff with a melodic vibe on the verses with a delay effect. The chorus is song’s bomb, my main reason for falling for this number. "Find Your Soul" has some mystery and a chilling dark feel, but when David Readman shouted "I Believe" I found myself putting my trust into each note that he sang. The drum work is undoubtedly the track’s specialty.PINK CREAM 69 gives a taste of their ballads by their track "The Tide". The gentle guitar playing makes it so easy to interact with it. Eventually it wasn’t such a heart tearing ballad, yet I would consider it to a slow Rock song, sounds different than the messages of "Miles Away" or "I Saw Red"."I Came To Rock", the title of the song describes just what you are about to get, good heavy Hard Rock song, very fast and headbangable. I really like the mood shift after the lead guitar break right when song’s rhythm turns slower but with the fast guitar riff. The song is very dynamic and easy to get in to. You can find songs of the same manner all over the album "Big Machine" that has the same Heavy Metal flame but on other hand you will have much more melodic songs like "Let The Thunder Roll" and "Right From Wrong" that surprised with an unusual rhythm drum work.I enjoyed listening to the album, it sure has some good tunes, great Hard Rock songs aside to more melodic songs. It keeps the Rock spirit alive as the band sounded tight and fresh. I would enjoy it much even more if it was actually sustaining the Hard Rock stuff because I felt a connection to those tracks than to the softer melodic tracks.

Album:

Pink Cream 69 return with their new release, “Headstrong”, on November 10, 2017! "Headstrong" marks the 30th anniversary of the German hard rockers Pink Cream 69. And what better way to celebrate than by adding yet another gem to their already spectacular discography! Produced by bassist (and renowned producer) Dennis Ward, "Headstrong" sees the same line-up from 2013’s well-received “Ceremonial” album return to deliver fans another hard rocking set of quality songs on their 12th studio album overall. As a special treat, the new release includes a bonus live album featuring songs from across the band’s catalogue.Dennis Ward says: "When we released our first album in 1989, we were proud to be a guitar band that yielded powerful guitar riffs and soaring vocal melodies. Since the release of 'Ceremonial', it became evident to us that we had to take a step back to be able to make two steps forward, so we made a master plan: resurrect our earliest form of songwriting incorporating these riffs and melodies, reducing the amount of keyboards and keeping the production to a minimum of sonic layers in order to be as true as possible to our sound, the sound of fat and crunchy guitars. I feel that the new album is a high-energy recording that redeems us as the powerful rock 'n' roll band we used to be. After weeks of cross checking the production, listening to the CD in my car, I take great pride in saying: mission accomplished. We look so very forward to presenting our new baby."
