Kaledon replaced the drummer (Dario Sacco) for personal problems with "David Folchitto", and the singer (Anthony Drago) with "Claudio Conti". Kaledon recorded one other promo cd with "Claudio Conti". Kaledon found in Daniele Fuligni their new keyboardist ex keyboard player of "Ghost Rider". In october 2001 kaledon heve signed a record deal with the Italian SteelBorn Rec. (division of Northwind Records). Between November 2001 and March 2002 kaledon was in studio for the recording session of their debut album. "legend of the forgotten reign". During the recording sessions of the debut album Alex Mele started to write the songs for the second album with the singer Claudio Conti. In April 07 2003 Kaledon started the recording session of their second album called Chapter 2: The king’s rescue. At the end of the recording sessions Kaledon have recorded their “FATHER TIME” version for one Stratovarius tribute album named Within Infinity. The band find in Dario Annibali their new manager. During the 2004 the band worked on the third chapter of the legend of the forgotten reign saga, but unfortunately, during this period the drummer David Folchitto decided to leave Kaledon for personal problems! He wants to dedicate much time to his other projects, but he'll work with the band untill kaledon find a new drummer. In the third Kaledon’s album the drum parts were played by Jorg Michael (Stratovarius). Kaledon started the recording sessions of the drums in july 7th 2004 in Como. The recording studio was in Inverigo near Como, and the rest of the album was recorded in Rome between October and december in The Outer Sound Studios. The recording sessions of chapter 3 was very long and hard... Giuseppe Orlando was a very good and impressive teacher for the band.... and chapter 3 was a very masterpice. During the chapter 3 recording sessions Kaledon have been rejoined by drummer David Folchitto. The third Chapter’s name is : THE WAY OF THE LIGHT. After Chapter 3 release date, the band made a lot of promotion with live dates, with gadgets, and many other ways, The band with Kick Promotion Agency of Rome made tons of interviews and received tons of reviews from all the world! At the beginning of the recording sessions of Chapter 4 the band broken up the recording deal with their record company SteelBorn records because they was absolutely not able to follow the band in their way... The closure of the contract foresees the transfer of the whole contract to another famous, important Italian label. With the new label we had lots of e-mail and phone calls to discuss the fact that never on earth they would have worked in a negligent way as the last label did. Their behaviour was worse than the previous one and they told us to find a new label... they never sent us a new contract, and when we had to pay the studios they disappeared. Obviously we found another company... Universal Metal Production... This new company gave to the band a support and of course the great possibility to share Kaledon's music in the United States of America! After that, Kaledon has signed also for a great european record company! Hellion Records from Germany! They will work for kaledon in all europe Chapter 4 name is : TWILIGHT OF THE GODS and it was released on December 2006 in USA, on December 8 in Europe and april 2007 in Japan for Hot-Rockin/DiskHeaven!After this release Kaledon played live in many situation and during these days, something has begun to happend between the band and singer Claudio Conti! There was a lot of fights for personal reasons... and all these problems are finished with the split between Claudio and the band! After a little time Kaledon found a new singer in Marco Palazzi, a young singer and immediately they started to work on the new Chapter of the saga... Chapter 5... Chapter 5 was released via hellion records in Europe, in Asia via hot-rockin and was distributed in usa and canada via nightmare records in july 2008 With the new singer the band started a new period of their musical life, Palazzi gave to the band new power and new strenght. The X Anniversary Concert was a great opportunity to re-join for a day the former singer Anthony Drago and to gave to the fans a very great show. Immediately after the show, Kaledon started to work to the DVD Roaming in The Land... Their first live album! The DVD release was temporary stopped because the band started to work on the new album Chapter 6. The last Chapter of the Alex Mele's saga.Kaledon have inked a deal with Scarlet Records for the release of their next studio album 'Legend Of The Forgotten Reign Chapter VI: The Last Night On The Battlefield', the sixth installment of the saga started in 2002 in July 2010.Kaledon have inked a deal with Scarlet Records for the release of their next studio album 'Legend Of The Forgotten Reign Chapter VI: The Last Night On The Battlefield', the sixth installment of the saga started in 2002 in July 2010.In December 2010 Kaledon went in European Tour with LORDI and THE DOGMA.In May 2011 Kaledon entered the studio for their first best of album, named MIGHTIEST HITS. Album:

Light, airy Italian power metal is easy to come across. In some cases it is venerated (Rhapsody [Of Fire]), and in some cases it is reviled (Skylark). In part, this is because of its oft-wide eyed nature, obsession with superficial fantasy, and a blatant lack of lyrical subtlety. Kaledon has been a band that, in years past, has definitely found itself wrapped up in all three of these typical Italian drawbacks, and unlike some of their countrymen, were lacking enough true musical skill to garner themselves more than a cult following. I’ve enjoyed past works, as each chapter of their story, though not progressing in terms of lyricism, has grown more and more consistently enjoyable from a musical perspective. The band’s prior album, Chapter VI…, was *almost* something that I could see myself spinning occasionally and justifying a purchase for myself.Well, despite the silly story and laborious title, Altor: The King’s Blacksmith may at last be the Kaledon album that I’ve been waiting for. Despite its drawbacks, this album is quite thoroughly listenable, and for several reasons. The first of these is diction. I know that I, personally, have been criticized for myself criticizing vocalist’s accents and deliveries, but what a difference an improvement makes. I don’t know if Marco Palazzi has worked on his English, or if it’s just the improved clarity of the recording, but I find most of Altor much more vocally gripping, despite the band’s usual heavy-handedness in the lyrical realm (Imagine super-pulpy wording around blacksmithing, love for family, and friends, and generally doing glorious things).Secondly, this album has melody in spades. Despite being as drenched as ever before in awkwardness and sappiness, the choruses of songs like “Childhood” and “My Personal Hero” are hookier than in years past, and the guitarists offers up better solo work than I’ve come to expect from the band. In some ways, this album reminds me of a pointedly fantasy-oriented version of something like Holy Knights’ Beyond Daylight And Pain or a lighter, less-involved take of early/mid Rhapsody (catchier, to my ears, but less varied and with less potency). Finally, Kaledon seems to have generally stepped up its game in the production department, along with many of its countrymen. I might tie this in general to the perceived “upgrade” that seems to be taking place in Italian power metal. The sound here comes across as a little less “buried”, as I feel occurs in the band’s older albums. Vocals stand out a bit more, the rat-tat-tatting rhythm guitars are less smashed into the background, and the keys are bright and uplifting.A Kaledon album is, when all is said and done, still a Kaledon album, and therefore unlikely to raise too much interest in those who generally don’t care for fruity power metal, but Altor: The King’s Blacksmith is the most competent, polished, and memorable album that the band has recorded. I definitely recommend it to those who haven’t *quite* been captured by the band’s past work, and anyone wishing to cast an eye on the national scene. Solid and quite enjoyable for those of us who enjoy this facet of the genre.
