Bio:

Majesty OF Revival (Progressive/Neoclassic/Power Metal) formed by Dimitry Pavlovskiy (PowerSquad, Grotesque Orchestra, Bloody Terror, In Submarine) in 2009, influenced by Symphony X, Requiem, Time Requiem, Mercyful Fate, Rhapsody, etc. At that time band consisted of only 3 people. In 2010, after 2 small demos, band left the bassist and drummer. But Dimitriy continued writing material. At the end of 2010, band was joined drummer Vaslij Irzhak, & at the beginning of 2011 keyboardist Grotesk, vocalist Oleksa Dinnik and bassist Trajan Mustyace. With this lineup in June 2011, band was released a promotional EP "Meaning Of Life". The EP received a lot of positive feedback, title song "Meaning Of Life" and "Blind" include in several compilations like "Metal Doll Compilation", "Imperative Compilation" & others. MOR also received offers from several labels to release full-length album. In June Dimitriy began recording his solo album PowerSquad (HeartOfSteel/Medival Records), & recording of the debut MOR album has stopped. In september of 2011 Oleksa Dinnik leave the band. In October Konstantin Naumenko (Sunrise) Joined the band. And in the same month the band starting record debut studio album. After that Grotesk leave the band. Immediately after the departure of the Grotesk, Marat Adiev (Atlantis) joined the band. In March 2012 debut album "Through Reality" is completed. Album will be released on Metalscrap Records. The band has a lot of new material and move forward - planning a lot of new music, with more heavy riffs, and rigid atmosphere.

Album:

My first encounter with MAJESTY OF REVIVAL’s mastermind, Mr. Dmitry Pavlovsky was made through his early solo release “PowerSquad” in 2012, his guitarist prowess and his melodic potential seems immense and his tone and style is right up in the genre that I love the most: Neo-Classical & Shred Metal. Talking about the Ukrainian band MAJESTY OF REVIVAL and their new album, their second release “Iron Gods", yet it's still only self-published, but soon it will promoted worldwide by the great team of Power Prog, the rerelease is set for January 17th.This talented band released their debut full-length album “Through Reality” in 2012, but i think that the new opus “Iron Gods" is a giant step in the right direction, indeed by mixing some Progressive Power Metal with strong Neoclassical influences and Symphonic Metal elements, darker and heavier than their regular contestant with an obvious Balkan tainted feeling, and a fresh particularity in bringing a lot of dissonant keyboards parts (not unlike their brilliant compatriot the piano virtuoso Vitalij Kuprij), their found a new path with this recipe enhanced by the exceptionally gifted pair of lead vocalist complementary and emulating each other in the most impressive manner.Their vocal performances are quite different but remains in the Nordic tradition, clean but powerful, with only a few growling, it’s I think and despite the awesome level of the players involved, it’s still their best asset, I mean c’mon it’s like having Goran Edman (Oleksa Dynnyk) and Tony Kakko (Konstantin Naumenko) in the same band, both sharing an equivalent goal. The reminiscence of MAJESTIC / TIME ODYSSEY / ADAGIO / IRON MASK / HOLY FORCE / ZOOL or MAGIC KINGDOM are evidently enhanced by their typical sounds, even some SONATA ARCTICA flavors (mostly within the track “Close Your Eyes”).The additional influences are numerous, from Thrash to cinematic but the mood is definitively ranged in the intellectual music, setting toward sad atmospheres, dramatic & chaotic spirit, cold soundscapes and dystopian futuristic themes wrapped in an 'end of the world" symphony of choir. Some guests coming from the deep underground are featuring: Nelly Hanael, guest vocalist Jouni Nikula (REQUIEM / ex-ALTARIA) and fellow Swedish shredder Magnus Nordh (ex-MAJESTIC/TIME REQUIEM). After the epic closing title track, the bonus cut “Mad Song” is displaying their most uncontrolled vibes, lunatic arrangements, electronic loops and insane vocals. An adventurous release recommended for the fans of the aforementioned acts, clearly reserved to the highest aristocracy of Metal Fans… Are you one of those?

Bio:

DP (Jesus Christ) - Vox/Guitars Ukrainian virtuoso guitarist, multi-instrumentalist, founder of successful metal band MAJESTY OF REVIVAL.Before MAJESTY OF REVIVAL he played in few Ukrainian bands that have local sucсess. Also he released few solo-albums and participate in few other projects.

Album:

The third full-length from Ukrainian Neoclassical power metallers Majesty of Revival is yet another wholly strong and dynamic effort in their vastly-impressive catalog. Following a year of intense writing and recording, this impressive offering is released June 25, 2016 on Massive Sound Recordings.Buoyed by the album’s strong riff-work, there’s a strong element charging along throughout the music here as the riffing takes on all series of challenging, progressive work here that offers technically-complex arrangements from tightly-wound speed metal leanings and fine thrash parts to soaring, majestic power metal anthems graced with plenty of fine keyboards running alongside those heavier pieces and tending to give this a widely-ranged and varied effort overall. It’s dynamic and wholly appealing in that there’s a strong attempt at variety here which definitely helps this one keep from overall repetition and familiarity that tends to dominate such material overall, though that plays up the first of the bands’ few small problems. The fact that it includes so many varying elements that the album as a whole is incredibly bloated and overlong, not just with ideas but in tracks as well. This could’ve easily been trimmed down a few songs in the running order to keep it to a more respectable length with this one carrying on with too many tracks featuring their admittedly-enjoyable take on these varied elements being present here and probably could’ve done with some trimming here and there to prune this one down a little. A fine start is the bands’ decision to include some rather obscure elements here as the few attempts at indie rock and more straightforward tracks don’t mesh so well with the more metallic work featured. Still, it’s not as big a problem as the other feature even though taking those out would help the bloated feeling. There’s a lot of great work to be had here with the band spreading themselves out to include some varied and interesting elements into their core sound for an enjoyable if overlong offering that should really appeal to fans of the bands’ work in the past or those looking to explore the more progressive ends of the genre.
