The band also recorded a song , ONE MO TIME, for the film IF LOOKS COULD KILL. The song featured Rock legend, EDGAR WINTER, on Saxaphone.By January 1991 the record was selling 20,000 units per week. The video for ONE IN A MILLION went #1 on MTV for 3 weeks. The album peaked at # 28 on BILLBOARDs TOP 200 ALBUM CHART and the single for GIVE IT TO ME GOOD was a TOP 50 H IT on BILLBOARDs TOP 100 SINGLES CHART. In May they filmed the video for the 3rd single,SURRENDER.By June TRIXTER started the BLOOD,SWEAT & BEERS TOUR with WARRANT & FIREHOUSE.Around this time the popular rock magazine, METAL EDGE, dedicated an entire issue to the band, THE TRIXTER COLOR SPECTACULAR.The video and single for SURRENDER were released and once again the video went to # 1 on MTV for 2 weeks and the single went TOP 100 in BILLBOARD.In September of 1991 the BLOOD, SWEAT & BEERS TOUR was filmed for a Pay Per View special.October marked the end of the TRIXTER touring cycle for the very successful debut album. In January 1992,TRIXTER began pre-production on the 2nd album. Also, during that time the band renegotiated their record deal and were signed directly to MCA records. TRIXTER chose JAMES JIMBO BARTON of RUSH & QUEENSRYCHE fame to produce. Recording began in April and lasted until August of 1992. The result was the stellar rock cd, " HEAR" .Released in October along with another Arena tour opening for long time idols, KISS, TRIXTER raged across North America supporting the new disc. "ROAD OF A THOUSAND DREAMS" did well on Radio .January 1993, they shot a video for the next single," ROCKIN HORSE " and began a headlining club tour called THE HEAR CLUB FOR MEN TOUR. May of that year had TRIXTER embarking on a tour of Japan. "HEAR" was doing very well in the Land of the Rising Sun, so the band was invited over to do 2 shows and alot of promotion. The shows in OSAKA at Moda Hall and KAWASAKI at Club Citta were very successful. The boys had a great time. TRIXTER finished the HEAR tour in late June of '93 in front of 5,000 screaming fans at Milwaukees Summerfest. In 1994 the band recorded the UNDERCOVERS EP in STEVE BROWNs home studio. This was a cd of all cover songs that was released in Oct. 1994 on the indie label , BACKSTREET RECORDS. Once again the band headed out on the road again across America. No matter how tough things got the band kicked ass and the shows were more often like a big keg party opposed to the typical rock show. Still to this day ,TRIXTER, has fans all around the world and the music still gets airplay. In 1999 the band was featured on VH-1s WHERE ARE THEY NOW and in 2000 they were voted # 29 on VH-1's TOP40 HAIR BAND COUNTDOWN. The songs are on various rock compilation cds: GIVE IT TO ME GOOD is on GLAM ROCK VOL. 2 , ONE IN A MILLION is on ROCK OF THE 80S and SURRENDER is on HARD LOVE, and that was only the beginning.

Album:

Hear! is the second studio album by Trixter. The album was released on October 13, 1992 through MCA Records, the band's last release on the label.Hear! failed to reach the same success of the band's self-titled debut, only reaching #109 on the Billboard 200.The album's first single, "Road of a Thousand Dreams", was re-recorded and included as an iTunes bonus track on the album Human Era.In 1992 (yes, that incredible year of rock music), Trixer released their sophomore album, titled “Hear!”. The album is just as good and their debut but…it was impossible for a new-coming band to survive the Seattle “wrath”, or as we know it – the grunge movement. MCA records dropped them (unbelievable…) after the release of “Hear!”. MTV stopped caring as well…and BAM – all hopes and dreams got crushed as quickly as they arrived. I hate it.Hard and heavy. Everything is a killer and there’s not even a single filler! Personal favorites – “Power of Love” and “Damn Good”. You had the chance to listen to “Damn Good” so check out this other energizing track. I am absolutely inlove with the drums on this one. Mark “Gus” Scott is damn good!

Line Up:

Peter "Pete" Loran – lead vocals

Album:

Long time out of print in Europe, Universal Music and specialized Dutch label Music On CD are reissuing "Trixter", the celebrated first album from New Jersey melodic hard rockers TRIXTER.The guys created quite a fuss around themselves at the end of the ’80s and finally hit the record stands with their 1990 self-titled album. It was all great – MTV, endless tours, sharing a stage with the biggest names of the industry…what a kick-off.But hey, they totally deserved it.Group Trixter with Slaughter and Firehouse as bands debuting in 1990 with a clean and crisp brand of commercial US melodic hard rock. By 1990, the template for “hair bands” had been pretty much set in stone: less aggressive and full of polished sing-along choruses.Trixter adhered closely to that 'new' sound, and were rewarded with healthy sales.Produced by talented Bill Wray - a consummate songwriter (and occasionally performer) for countless '80s movie soundtracks - "Trixter" is plenty of instant choruses, catchy melodies and rockin' hooks.Wray also co-wrote most the songs, including two of the hit singles "Surrender" and "One in a Million". The other successful single is "Give It To Me Good", solely penned by really good guitarist Steve Brown, one of the pillars of the band.We find also songwriting contributions from the likes of Prophet's Dean Fasano ("Play Rough") or skilled Jack Ponti ("Always a Victim") which assure you classy melodies, but all these tunes are also co-penned by Trixter members. They had pretty faces and good looking wardrobe, but also talent to play a good tune."Trixter" sound and production is pure 1990; polished, sweet melodic hard rock, that’s pretty much one step above AOR. The band had an air of positivity that suited their smiling faces. The hit "Give It To Me Good" best exemplifies the good vibrations Trixter were toting along. A gem of true early 90s US MHR."Trixter" never has been remastered, nor this reissue, but the new digital transfer technique - which augment the signal / Dynamic Range without distortion - makes wonders here. The album comes full out of the speakers, much more potent than the original CD press. This is a classic from 1990, and it should be part of your melodic hard rock collection.

Frontiers Music Srl will release of the new studio album from good-time rock 'n' rollers TRIXTER, titled "Human Era", on June 5 in Europe and June 9 in North America.Following on the heels of the successful comeback album "New Audio Machine", TRIXTER is returning stronger than ever."After the success of our last album, 'New Audio Machine', we felt more confident than ever in making another top-notch album," says TRIXTER lead guitarist Steve Brown. "I'm so proud to say that after more than 25 years of making records, TRIXTER is getting better and better. By years end the band racked up worldwide sales of 750,000, 3 #1 MTV videos, 3 TOP 100 SINGLES, HIT PARADER MAGAZINES BEST NEW BAND AWARD for 1991, METAL EDGE READERS POLL BEST CONCERT FOR THE BLOOD , SWEAT & BEERS Tour , and GIVE IT TO ME GOOD was in MTVS TOP 100 VIDEOS OF 1991.TRIXTER also wound up in the movies.Their song LINE OF FIRE was on the soundtrack for the film MARIO BROS....WHITE KNUCKLE SCORIN and ONE MO TIME was on the soundtrack for the film IF LOOKS COULD KILL.

Album:

Remastered by the great Maor Appelbaum, TRIXTER founder Steve Brown is reissuing the band’s album “New Audio Machine” including a bonus track. Originally released on Frontiers Music back in 2012, the album has has been out of print for few years by now with used copies being sold for over U$D 150.So Steve Brown, who owns the tapes, decided to re-vamp this very good album and make it available again via his label Brownstone Music with an improved, remastered sound. After 20 years since their last proper, full length studio release, TRIXTER awakened with this new release in 2012 entitled “New Audio Machine” and with all four original the members in the line-up.Trixter caught their big break in 1990 after getting signed to a major label and immediately exploded into the spotlight with their commercial hair metal. Their second album ‘Hear’ was a much and rockier yet retaining a radio friendly sound. With “New Audio Machine” the biggest difference between ‘then’ and ‘now’ is that now, Trixter has released a hard hittin’ American Hard Rock record which certainly gonna make a lot of heads spin.Just listening to the opening verse of “Drag Me Down” is enough for most people to say ‘Huh? This is Trixter?’. Co-penned with former Styx guitar-slinger Glen Burtnik (who adds his own musical touches playing guitars as well), the song starts off with an almost southern-rock groove to it (ala Tesla) but when kicks in, it smacks you in the face like an anvil with a fierce guitar riff and an incredibly thick, rich arrangement. Great tune which is anything but your typical Trixter.“Get On It” is similar in that heavier, more aggressive style featuring a sing-along chorus. On this track, I fully realize that Trixter has tapped into their gold selling past and made certain to make a song that resonates both relevancy and old school Hard Rockin’ glory. With “Dirty Love” arrives, yes, your prototypical Trixter track. The guitar licks and rhythm are unmistakably Steve Brown just as the backing vocals in the chorus have that distinct flavor.“Machine,” on the other hand, while still maintaining just a touch of the band’s nineties flair, is an aggressive, artery-bursting track which will surely get your blood pumping. There’s a thundering bass rhythm layered over Scott’s heavy percussion hits as the song begins right before Steve’s guitar comes screaming in and Loran’s vocals take over. Killer track, easily one of the best on the CD.The semi-ballad “Live For The Day” packs a very positive and uplifting message and allows Pete’s amazing vocals to really take center stage for the first time. Beautifully done and the ever so subtle keyboards By Eric Ragno perfectly compliment the electric-acoustic driven melody giving the chorus that full, fat sound.“Ride” finds the band once again returning to their roots as far as the overall hooks and grooves to the song but still it has a sharper, edgier side that true fans are gonna love.“Physical Attraction,” is another up-tempo Trixter trademark rocker which will be sure to please all those die-hard fans.“Tattoos & Misery” is the first single and video for the release and is easily the most commercially appealing with its potent, melodic chorus. Now arrives my favorite piece of the album, the superb ballad “The Coolest Thing”. And it’s more than ‘cool’. The arrangement, the lyrics, the feel, the sound, everything about this song is sheer power ballad perfection right down to the final note. Pete Loran gives the vocal performance of a lifetime so much that you can actually feel the emotion flow through you as the rest of the musicians on this track. The album winds-up again with another audacious, uptempo number called “Save Your Soul”. The heavy guitar riff gives way to a nicely executed and almost anthem-like chorus on this one. Then finally rounding off the release is “Walk With A Stranger” which was written way back in the late ’80s by SKID ROW’s Snake Sabo and Rachel Bolan. While is does have the slight Skid Row vibe, Trixter has made it genuinely their own.If you are one of the few who doesn’t like Trixter’s nineties commercial albums and don’t want more, you will be terribly wrong letting pass “New Audio Machine”.This new recording includes the best melodies of the past, yes, but also energetic and kickin’ American Hard Rock songs. A really well-rounded release which is a prime example of what you can accomplish by effectively blending musicianship and style with a mature approach to the music.Production is sharp, now benefited by a punchy remaster.”New Audio Machine” will bury any misconceptions anyone has ever had about these guys once and for all. This is what American styled Hard Rock is all about. It’s been many years since their last record, but Trixter finally got it right, and for any hard rock, melodic rock, rockin’ AOR fan, “New Audio Machine” has more than its share of tasty tidbits and memorable moments.

Album:

The purveyors of plaid return! TRIXTER headquarters are busy recording new material, meanwhile they are reissuing 2022 the album “Alive In Japan“.The CD (originally released in 2008 and long time out of print) captures the band’s fierce live energy at Club Citta in Kawasaki way back in 1993.The band rose to fame at the end of the hair metal era as grunge reared its ugly head, but the band stayed true to the vision of delivering high powered melodic rock to fans. ”Alive In Japan” showcases Trixter’s strong catalog of hits and includes Billboard charting singles: ‘One In A Million’ & ‘Give It To Me Good’ along with ‘Road Of A Thousand Dreams’, ‘Rockin’ Horse’, etc, all much more rocking n’ heavy that the originals.“Alive In Japan” is for naysayers who argued the band only was a studio wonder… just listen this album – no post-production trickery – Trixter simply rocks! And sound quality is million bucks.Fans are also treated to two new songs (studio recordings from 2008): ‘You Got It’ and ‘When You Close Your Eyes’.What makes this set interesting is the pointedness of the performance – singer Pete Loran makes a convincing argument to be considered amongst the greats for the era, while axeman Steve Brown satiates guitar enthusiasts with poignant riffage.Overall, if you missed Trixter back in the day opening for KISS or setting Paramus, New Jersey on fire – fear not this live set has you covered and brings that live experience right into your home or car.
