Bio:

At a time when so much rock music is defined according to a specific genre or sub-genre, it’s refreshing for a new band to come along who are both happy and proud to be called simply ‘rock’… and when that band are just 18 years old, then the project becomes very exciting indeed: classic sounds filtered through young hearts an’ minds.A five-strong outfit based in the Cambridge area of the UK, The Treatment are indeed tender in years, but you’d never guess that from the quality of their song-writing or the confident swagger of their live show. It’s only really the exuberance and in-built energy of their playing that gives the game away, adding a fresh-faced twist to some deeply classic grooves.Combining the drive of early Def Leppard with the song-writing ability of prime UFO and Thin Lizzy, the whole thing underpinned by the sort of low-slung riffing redolent of early Aerosmith or G n’ R, The Treatment are unashamedly inspired by an era when rock bands looked like rock bands and were generally intent on causing a stir (both onstage and off); an era when the lifestyle was important, when music was everything and when vinyl was king.

Album:

THE TREATMENT is a five piece Hard Rock outfit hailing from the Cambridge area of the United Kingdom, forming in 2008 as 15-18 year olds and hungry for appreciation and attention at a time when we need newcomers to push the movement of heavy music forward. Their debut album “This Might Hurt” came out in 2011, setting the foundation for this follow up full length “Running with the Dogs”.The proliferation of music at every turn has pushed ‘classic Rock bands now to a third generation, with many large advertisers and businesses using material from JUDAS PRIEST to RUSH to TWISTED SISTER to peddle an era and lifestyle that transcends time. THE TREATMENT spit out their own version of classic Hard Rock, updating things through a touch of Punk and Sleaze to keep the energy level abuzz.“I Bleed Rock + Roll” opens the proceedings, a party anthem paying tribute to the genre they love, guitarists Jake Pattinson and Tagore Grey layering their retro-oriented power chords with a sense of punk charm. THE CULT as well as AC/DC would be proud of the offspring and professionalism these lads display. Elsewhere “Drop Like a Stone” and “Emergency” appeal as future set staples, the hooks as large as they can muster musically while the harmonic chorus work from Matt Jones is in the vein of DEF LEPPARD circa the “High ‘n’ Dry” days. The 13 songs fly by in a tidy 47 minutes, as only two tracks barely clip beyond 4 minutes. When the band choose to be more subdued and tuneful, you see them reach back into possible 60’s and early 70’s heroes like BAD COMPANY or LYNYRD SKYNYRD for the half acoustic/ half electric ballad “Cloud Across the Sun”. For such a young band, THE TREATMENT surprisingly are very skillful in the art of balancing simplified 3 chord Hard Rock and keeping the tempos dynamically different so that you anticipate the next track- especially when the band produce sinister wah-wah lead breaks in the darker “Don’t Get Mad Get Evil”.“Running with the Dogs” doesn’t profess to change the template of the Hard Rock genre- it only uses the right tools in the right way to deliver a series of strong songs that should get audiences stomping their feet and clapping their hands.

Album:

March 22 is the release date for British hard rock five-piece THE TREATMENT new album "Power Crazy" via Frontiers Music, while this advanced Japanese edition including 2 bonus tracks will appear tomorrow."Power Crazy" is the band's fourth full-length album and continues their successful formula of coupling sonic power with a taste for infectious riffs. With this record, The Treatment is firing on all cylinders with its slice of no-frills hard rock. A quick listen will instantly reveal the essential ingredients of a classic hard rock album: riffs, huge choruses, catchy licks, and straight to the point songs."Power Crazy" is also The Treatment's first album to feature new singer Tom Rampton. With his raspy voice in the best classic rock tradition, you can rest assured he knows how to ride high on the guitar attack from guitarists Tao and Tagore Grey.Blasting off with “Lets Get Dirty” is a pure form hard rock number that sets the scene for the rest of the album, as the drums thunder, guitars wail with toe tapping rhythm and the vocals scream perfectly in sync. Hard edged tune plenty of attitude.“On The Money” adds a bluesy touch, like a potty mouthed ZZ Top if you will, but goodness me, it's catchy. To that end, by the time next track “Bite Back” has done its thing you might well have your fists in the air like you just don’t care and look, “Hang ‘Em High” is about as unapologetic as rock n roll gets.Back to a slower and bluesier feel is “Luck Of The Draw”, a beautifully delivered midtempo with very nice guitars. With a title like “Scar With Her Name” you think about a ballad. Nope. Actually, this is a romp that The Cult would have sold millions with in the '80s, and “King Of The City” is a proper slab of NWOBHM. The heaviest thing they’ve ever done, and rocks. And if “Power Crazy” largely isn’t arsed with introspection whatsoever, then “Waiting for The Call” comes on a bit like early Whitesnake, and is a slower thing, with some soaring harmonies, but even here they can’t resist the hook-line: “let’s beat them all…..”“Power Crazy” has to be one of the best classic Hard Rock albums of the year already. They have delivered an album utterly full of excellent standalone tracks, twelve to be exact (with a bonus acoustic for physical CD, plus an extra one for this Japan release) and prove they are far from stingy to their fans. Not only that, there is not a single filler song on this album. Yes some are stronger than others, but even the weakest song fully stands on its own two feet.Years ago The Treatment was one if the biggest promising classic hard rock bands from UK.They faced some troubles, delays, change of personnel... 2019 looks good for them. “Power Crazy” sounds like they’re ready for anything, to make it big.

Album:

"Waiting For Good Luck" is the fifth full-length album from British hard rockers The Treatment. Showcasing an intense sonic power only hinted at thus far, The Treatment is truly firing on all cylinders now. A first listen will instantly reveal hulking riffs and memorable choruses and further listens reveal more and more as the listener delves into this love letter to hard rock. "Waiting For Good Luck" truly is a classic album in the making.Produced by UK rock maestro Laurie Mansworth (Airrace) and mixed by Kevin Shirley (Iron Maiden, Led Zeppelin, Black Country Communion, etc.), "Waiting For Good Luck" is The Treatment's second album featuring Tom Rampton on vocals and the first one with the new bass player Andy Milburn. Rampton's raspy, whisky-soaked vocal style suits the band's driving, hard rock style perfectly and the results of him having toured with and gelled further with the band can really be heard distinctly here. A magnificent slice of groove-laden, fist-pumping, unapologetic rock 'n' roll anthems, which showcase a band hungry for more and showing no signs of slowing down, "Waiting For Good Luck" is the most realized offering yet from The Treatment. “We honestly all believe this album is a huge step forward for The Treatment and we can't wait for you to hear it. We will be touring as soon as circumstances will allow us and we look forward to seeing all you Treatment troops at our shows next year", says the band. The Treatment formed in 2008 in Cambridge, England.
