Put together during 1987 by drummer L.A. Roberts and bass-player Ray St. Michael, in the Maryland area, with the addition of vocalist Rick Thomas and guitar-wizard Don De Olivera, MONA LISA first appeared on the 1987 compilation called “97 Underground Beast From The East Vol. 1”, with the song “Nightmares”.After tons of live-shows, both as opening-act (of bands like Danger Danger, Child’s Play and more) and as headliner, the band recorded a 5-tracks cassette called “Grounded for Life” (in 1988) and then the marvelous 8-tracks debut-album, “The Art Of Seduction” (1990), released only on cassette format.Officially available on CD for the first time ever, all the material ever recorded by MONA LISA plus some unexpected bonus material (demos, live + the TATTOO TAXI self-released album, which is the band created after MONA LISA split up) will be available on two CDs, called “The Collection Part 1” and “The Collection Part 1”.If you like bands like White Lion, Trixter, Danger Danger and early Bon Jovi, this is something you won’t dare to lose… you’ve been warned!

MONA LISA “Collection Part 1” and “Collection Part 2” CDs are READY to go into the pressing plant!What I can say is that this has been a real labour of love and passion, years and years long, going thru' the graphic material that the band supplied time after time, and thru’ all the conversations we had for years to try re-constructing piece by piece the whole story of this amazing band!And yes, we fkn did it!!!We can assure that the final result was totally worth the wait.We managed to have TWO 16-pages long booklets full of never seen pics, flyers, memorabilia and the story of the band told by the master Rob Evans. And to include in the two CDs set - besides their incredible two releases “Grounded For Life” and “Art Of Seduction” - the first homemade-demos of the band, along with the latest project (1993) put together by gtr-player Don De Oliveira and drummer L.A. Roberts, called TATTOO TAXI, plus three LIVE-tracks (one also featuring singer Mike Leigh, during the time when he replaced Ricky Thomas).If you like bands like White Lion, Trixter, Danger Danger and early Bon Jovi, this is something you won’t dare to lose… you’ve been warned!
