1982 – 2004
Max Philip Navarro was born May 9, 1982 in Vancouver BC, Canada. He started as a vocalist of the rock band Ax, but he took a solo career in 2002 with the helping hand of guitarist and producer Nick Mayer.
2005 -2006
In 2005, thanks to the single “Wish”, Navarro enters the Asian rock charts and publishes the ep "Parallel Lines". In 2006 he recruited on a permanent basis John Paul Bellucci (guitar), Jack Novell (bass) and Simone Morettin (drums) as a backing band, and embarks on a series of environmental campaigns that took him for a while away from music.
2007 -2008
After three years of silence Max Navarro returned in 2008 with the first full length album, "Branded On My Skin," which climbed the rock charts of China, Taiwan, Japan and Indonesia thanks to hit singles like “Cold Night Love Affair”, “Angel” and “On The Elephant Back”. “Cold Night Love Affair” was also chosen as theme song of international beauty contest “Lady Of The Universe” in 2007. In June 2008 Navarro undertook the European Faraway Tour that brought him to play in over 30 cities throughout Europe.
2009-2011
The success of “Branded On My Skin” leads the Italian-Canadian artist to get back to work and cut a new album of unreleased "No Belonging After Dark", published in autumn 2009 and prefaced by the single “Wish”, recorded for this occasion in a new version. The new album included also a live version of “Out In The Midnight”, taken from a concert in Zurich in July 2008, and the second single “Get Away”.
2012
The sales of “No Belonging After Dark” didn’t go well and Navarro was very close to retirement from music scenes, but it was once again thanks to the insistence of Cherry Lips Records and producer Nick Mayer that a New album came about. Anticipated by the first single, "Cryin’”, the new album "Hard Times" is due to release on May 31, 2012.

The Italian-Canadian rocker is the first artist to sign with the Italian newborn record label, created a few months ago with the aim of launching the best rock artists of the underground scene on the international markets.Nine solid rock tracks in Navarro’s new album that will be preceded by the output of the first single “Nine Flares”, available from November 25th. The album, the fourth in his career after the three published via Cherry Lips Records, is produced by Nick Mayer and Max Navarro, and it was recorded and mixed by Nico Odorico at the Angel’s Wings Studios.This is the first work after the changes of band’s line-up that, in addition to Navarro on vocals, now sees John Paul Bellucci on guitar, Nick Mayer on keyboards, Danny Policella on bass and Alex Parpinel on drums. The album also sees the participation of Nico Odorico at the piano, and Max Zanuttini (Party Animals), who was entrusted with the guitar solo of “Hollywood”.“I am excited to start this adventure with AW Recordings”, said Navarro, “and I am honored to be the first artist to sign to the label. I like the philosophy behind the project, which aims to put classic and melodic rock at the center stage, giving space also to up-and-coming bands. About the new album, I can only anticipate that it will sound very, very American, less rough than “Hard Times“, but surely gritty”.“Somewhere South of Heaven” sees the light after a troubled process: “The songs were ready long ago”, added Navarro, “but I really wanted to work with Nico Odorico in a top level structure as the new Angel’s Wings Studios, so we had to wait the completions of works. Then, John Paul and me had different points of view on so many things that it was very hard to find a point of agreement. But we get over it, and now I can say it was worth it. When an album has at least 4 or 5 tracks worthy to be single, how can you be unsatisfied?”.
