Debut album by German-based rockers DEVICIOUS.The group was formed by ex members of the Andi Deris Band, Castaway, and others, and it's a true late '80s inspired melodic (hard) rock album with a refreshing songwriting.From the start with 'Everything', DeVicious showcase their credentials: midtempo Melodic Rock / AOR with a certain Scandinavian sound, yet mixed with a British feel, smooth lead vocals, sharp guitar riffs, keys / synths cleverly placed and very, very well arranged harmony vocals / chorus.Next 'Penthouse Floor' is much more AOR something similar to the last works from LIONVILLE or WILD ROSE. Delicious stuff, again with great taste in the arrangements.I can see why DeVicious were chosen to support HARDLINE, AMMUNITION and XTASY upcoming shows.'One Track Mind' bring to mind the sadly disbanded DIAMOND DAWN, it's modern melodic rock with punch but always with an eye put into the classic sound of the genre.'Lullaby' arrives with some dreamy keyboards accompanied by the precious phrasing of lead singer Mister Sanders (a real find), developing into a solid melody which carries this slow (not a ballad) tune.The proper album ballad comes with 'A Night to Remember' including pianos and some acoustic guitar, where Sanders' vocals turn more raspy, sensual, in a JON BON JOVI type of register. Strong song, reminiscent as well of Italians WHEELS OF FIRE.'Crying in the Rain' is a slightly 'by numbers' melodic rock, but even here the band never bore you. There's a flashy guitar solo in the vein of WHITE WIDDOW.'Calling Angels' and 'Hand in Hand' are both solid rockers, especially the latter with its multi-part vocal arrangements, while title track 'Never Say Never' changes the focus a little. It's the heaviest track on the CD, a hard rocker with an AXEL RUDI PELL feel to it, and call me nuts, but Sanders sings here in a RONNIE JAMES DIO style. A homage? Anyway, it works greatly and it's a welcomed variation to the album.The band close the record with a superb piano-based ballad titled 'The Silence'. It's the kind of song where the vocalist needs to be more than skilled, and Sanders delivers. Crystal clear performance in perfect pitch.Out of nowhere, DEVICIOUS 'Never Say Never' is one of the surprises this year.It's all about classic Melodic Rock / AOR, but with a refreshing spin. All over the record you can hear the years of experience from these guys, and their timeless classic rock / hard rock influences.Very well produced & mixed, 'Never Say Never' will please a wide audience, even those who needs more 'substance' than the average Melodic Rock formula.

DeVicious is an international melodic rock band with home base in Germany. After the success of their debut album "Never Say Never", released in August 2018, the band didn't want to take a break and went straight back in the studio to record their second album, "Reflections".Founded in 2016 in Karlsruhe (Germany) by longtime friends for over 20 years, DeVicious was able to get the Serbian powerhouse vocalist Zoran Sandorov as a steady member into the band. The band consists of Alex Frey (bass, songwriting, production), Radivoj Petrovic (lead guitar), Denis Kunz (keyboards), Lars Nippa (drums) and singer Zoran Sandorov a.k.a. Mister Sanders.On "Reflections", DeVicious follows into its own footsteps. Fans of the band will continue to love their catchy melodies and thriving grooves. "Reflections" is not just a copy of "Never Say Never". The new album contains more riffing, more rhythm and more punch without losing focus on the melodies and the DeVicious trademarks. Producer Alex Frey unlocked all the energy of singer Zoran Sandorov and created a musical environment that supports his powerful range. DeVicious is an international melodic rock band from Karlsruhe, Germany. With the two albums “Never Say Never“ (2018) and “Reflections“ (2019), the band managed to build up a big fanbase in the melodic rock scene. They toured with acts like Hardline, Ammunition or Maverick and played festivals such as H.E.A.T, Indoor Summer, Rock 'n Loc or Rocknight Tennwill. On these festivals new singer Antonio Calanna from Italy debuted and got the fans immediately by the balls with his energetic and professional performance “Phase Three“ was produced by band mastermind Alex Frey, mixed by Patrick Damiani at Tidalwave Studios and mastered by Robin Schmidt at 24-96 Mastering. The album again offers all band trademarks like big arena melodies, bombastic choir arrangements and a very powerful production. Since the guys focused more on guitars this time, the record seems to be a bit heavier than the previous ones.After “Reflections“ was very successful on the international market with listings in more than 50 “Album Of The Year“ rankings, the band now hopes to take the next step with album number three!

This is the one, folks! It is hard to describe how proud and happy we are with this album. For the very first time we did not record anywhere else but in our own studios. Every decision we made was our own and with Baol Bardot Bulsara we have found the perfect man to sing these songs in a unique way and complete the vision we had when we started. DeVicious is right there where we want to be and we can't wait to share this music with you.DeVicious seems to be a unestopable launcher machine, releasing nothing less than five studio albums on last five Years, The german band quintet bring News on vocals replacing Antonio Calanna, who left the band after the last album on a friendly basis to concentrate on some other projects, for Baol Bardot Bulsara. The new Project is based on a smooth and melodic Hard Rock, bringing names like Michael Sweet and Fate instantly to mind of the listeners. The album was produced by Alex Frey and mixed & mastered in the Mastersound Entertainment Studios in Steinheim, Germany by Alexander Krull, about the album cover, I don’t know if it was the band inspiration, but it reminds me a lot of an old game that I played a lot long time ago called Carmen San Diego and brought me good memories on that."Are You Ready for Love", the opener, have a strong base on the bass and shows up what some elements that are carefully treated by the band all the time, like the backing vocals that will be always present, the keyboards effects from 80's and love themes are also great. Let the race begin with the sound of the engine on "Highway to the Stars", this song is nothing but good energy and great chorus, in my opinion the SKA touch that I felt really added something extra for it, and the guitar solo on the last lap is another highlight. "Madhouse" is bounded to a very classical Hard Rock, its sharp and very straight to the Point.Keeping the good pace, we have "No More Tears" with it chill vibes, it’s not quite a ballad but works on a chill vibe counting with a nice piano intro. "Raise Your Life" shows up as a merge between Europe and Bon Jovi song, again varying the overlap between bass and guitar and keyboard in many of the parts. "Walk from the Shadows” ends this awesome work, for sure it’s nothing innovative, but for those who appreciate 80's rock classics it is certainly an excellent request.
