Infidel Rising is a melodic power metal band in the genre of Myrath- Fates Warning-Wintersun-and Rhapsody. The music is heavy,with classical symphonic and ethnic overtones... and lyrically is thought provoking and or positive.Sometimes people find bands and sometimes bands find you. The concept for Infidel Rising was always inside Travis Wills before he even realized it. Growing up in Houston as a drummer it wouldn't be until he moved to Dallas as a vocalist that the calling would take hold. Playing in cover bands and trying to find the right people with the right vision would not be easy. After several false starts with various line ups enter former Valentine Failures and Pretty Boy Floyd drummer Wayne Stokely. Looking to get out of the Hollywood scene and back to his metal roots Stokely and Wills set out to find the right people to complete what in their minds was a very special project.Little did they know that search would last nearly 2 years.Finally after almost giving up hope fate would intervene in the form of Parallel Dimension guitarist Rafael Quintana.Originally from Puerto Rico he too had given up hope on finding Prog/Power players in the DFW area.The line up was finally completed with keyboardist Aaron Walton,"The Doctor"as he's known who is a music major, and bassist Daniel Almagro, also a native of Puerto Rico and long time friend of Rafael. The music of Infidel Rising is rooted in Progressive Power Metal but with their own unique sometimes ethnic slant and lyrics that speak of power,truth,hope and change. This band is a testament to the fact that some things are worth waiting for. A debut album and video are currently in the works. Witness the Rise!

Infidel Rising were formed in 2012 but their debut album “The Torn Wings Of Illusion” was out in 2015.They come from Dallas, Texas playing a personal blend of Progressive & Power Metal.The new album, A COMPLEX DINIVITY, will be out on Sept 20th, 2022 on PURE STEEL RECORDS.After a cinematic intro, ALL THE FEAR is the first track, with its squared riffing and its powerHM touch.SILENCE OF THE NIGHT shows a powerful production, moving itself between prog and power, enriched by gorgeous solo parts shared between keys and guitar.OV WORMWOOD is another structured song where harmonies, solos and sharp riffing work together.If THUS ASTRAY is one of our favorite, LET WISDOM SPEAK evokes atmospheres of first RAINBOW.Brilliant SHADOWAMER, on the tracks of bands such as Rhapsody Of Fire, followed by FOLLOW YOU LIGHT, that grows second after second with a lot of harmony.After BEAUTIFUL DROWNED, fancy OUR LOST POETRY ends an album TO RECOMMEND WITHOUT HESITATION!
