Nightmare is a band from the city of Medellin, which was founded in mid 2000 by Edison Gil (Enforcer) and Mario Uribe (Ripper). Both guitarists with the firm intention of making Heavy Metal.After writing several songs Orlando would be the first drummer of the band, for a very short period of time.Hugo Uribe (Witchhammer), would come to the band as the new drummer, after an intense search of musicians, as well as Camilo Slayer as the new bass player. With this line-up the band releases their demo Gates of Hades in 2001, with five songs of their own and a cover of Acid.With an initial idea of making classic Heavy Metal, the musical influences of Nightmare, focused on great heavy metal bands of the 70s and 80s. Great bands like Iron Maiden, Saxon, Judas priest, Motorhead, Obsession, Twisted Sister, AC/DC, Dio, Acid and other bands that belonged to the same stream in those years.Nighmare would make their first concert in a metal festival in the municipality of Bello, giving such a good impression in that event that they would be invited a week later to play in the Porfirio Barba Jacob Theatre.In 2002 Camilo Slayer would leave Nightmare, being replaced by Sinister Storm as bass player.In 2003 Nightmare would work with the record label Plasmajam Productions starting the production and recording process of their first CD called High Speed Venom released in August 2004.

Fourth album full-length album.Medellin, Columbia's idiosyncratically ripping heavy/speed metal act Nightmare is back in full form.The same applies to fellow circuit bassist Sinister Storm, who no longer grovels around. One also notices how even the production is an improvement over 2017's TWtOP, with front ax man Burning Ax(e) Ripper valiantly leading the charge, once again, to tune of his bitchin' n' bewitchin', upper-ranged and, at times, Earth cracking, rangy caws.
