IMPERIAL AGE is a Russian symphonic metal band from Moscow founded in 2012. The band plays heavy metal with an extensive use of academic choirs and symphonic orchestras - where Therion meets Nightwish, Rhapsody, Manowar and Avantasia. The band has a strong concept that can be seen, heard and felt throughout their music, lyrics and visual imagery.IMPERIAL AGE was created in 2012 by Aor after he disbanded his previous band Revelance. Recorded with famous Russian musicians, the first album 'Turn The Sun Off!' received positive acclaim worldwide and sold around 1000 copies outside Russia just from the bands own webshop, without any label support.The follow-up EP 'Warrior Race' was recorded with world-famous musicians: Fabio Lione (RHAPSODY OF FIRE) on vocals, Daray (DIMMU BORGIR) on drums, Sergei Lazar (ARKONA) on growls and Vladimir Reshetnikov (ARKONA) on bagpipes. The EP was mixed and mastered by Lazar and IMPERIAL AGE signed a contract with the biggest Russian metal label Sound Age Productions. Warrior Race features the song To Mega Therion (THERION cover), approved by Cristofer Johnsson personally.After that the band changed lead singers. Aor, who sang on the first two CDs, now moved to the keyboards and the new lead singer became Alexandra Sidorova (ex-Rarog) - a professional singer, choirmaster and conservatory graduate, whose choir is singing on all IMPERIAL AGE songs. The band also received the permanent line-up which can be seen today.The artwork for all CDs was accomplished by world-famous artist Jan Yrlund (MANOWAR, KORPIKLAANI, TYR, IMPALED NAZARENE etc.)..During 2013-2014 IMPERIAL AGE toured with THERION, TARJA TURUNEN, EPICA, PARADISE LOST, OOMPH!, THE 69 EYES, TRISTANIA & FINNTROLL. And performed multiple headliner shows, two of them with a chamber orchestra and choir.

Four years have passed since the release of our latest album "The Legacy of Atlantis", a concept album and a metal opera about Atlantis - the ancient advanced civilisation, and Magic - the legacy of that civilisation.The album contains 7 regular tracks and one enormous 18-minute-long metal symphony called "Call of the Towers" that is stylistically a bit different from the other songs - darker, a bit tragic but at the same time elevated and spiritual, sometimes a bit resembling "Turn the Sun Off!". It even has a 3-minute-long church organ solo.
