Eternal Flight, from France plays melodic Power Prog Metal since 2001.If you like strong powerful riffs, progressive and epic arrangements, mixed with a rich, skilled, soulful voice that can easily go in the highs and lows, guitars that both shred and deliver heartfelt playing, an efficient, technical rhythm section and discreet, intelligent keyboards serving the music this band is for you!2002: release of their 1st demo that enable them to get known and to sign with a label.2004: their first album is released worldwide via Cruz Del Sur Music an Italian label and Spiritual beast in Japan.2007: 2nd album released worldwide via Pervade and Nightmare records.Each time, Eternal Flight win new fans, collect positive reviews and press and play live regularly with French and foreign bands!2011: Release of the 3RD album, “Diminished Reality, Elegies And Mysteries” (D.r.e.a.m.s):Aware of the importance of a third album release by a band, EF took time to care its new offering to propose a special and clashing album.Founded by singer Gérard Fois in the year 2001 after the split of his band Dream Child with whom he recorded two albums (including one for Metal Blade), the new songs are certainly the most effective and creative proposed until now.The Frenchman also played bass, keys and acoustic guitars and was at the production helm on this new release which shows a wider broad of styles and influences incorporated to their melodic Metal.On one side, rather short, fast, cutting and melodic titles (“Release the unreal”, “Freedom is my race”, “The Tower”)…On another, epic and progressive efforts, which show the numerous facets and richness of the group’s music :Heavy and majestic like Heaven and Hell ("Fantasea"), tempestuous and complex as if Nevermore and Opeth were crossing swords with Judas Priest ("Nightmare King"), intimate and acoustic ("Black Sun"), explorer and using some oriental hints à la Tool (The meeting), symphonic and tragic like Savatage(“Goodbye”).To make this album ‘Dimished Reality, Elegies and Mysteries’ (‘D.r.e.a.m.s’ for the close friends!) even more special, distinguished guests agreed enthusiastically to take part in this work.It is at first the Brazilian drummer Ricardo Confessori (Angra, Shaman) who after listening to demos was ready for this adventure and played on (almost) all the album and marks the rhythm section with his style. For certain solos, world-class guitarists Mark Mc Gee (ex Vicious Rumors), Chris Caffery (Trans-Siberian Orchestra, Savatage) from USA and Rob Love Magnusson (Dynazty) from Sweden were acquired. These completed brilliantly the already remarkable work of Julien Bouvier one of the new guitarists.The band line-up as it is now is completed by Julien Racine (drums), Adrien Zoni (bass) and Chris Gojon (guitars) who all brilliantly played on the intro and the cover tribute to the great Ronnie James Dio, ‘Night People’.With ‘D.r.e.a.m.s’ out november 4th of 2011, ETERNAL FLIGHT hail towards real international recognition.This record is available as digi pack.From May the 14th to June the 2nd 2013 the band opened for Circle II Circle and Nightmare for 18 shows around Europe!

The eternal battle between good and evil dominates the content of studio release number five by French progressive metallers ETERNAL FLIGHT, formerly DREAM CHILD.You won't get bad dreams from this album, which revels between good mood power metal, epic dark power metal, theatricality and progressive parts, in which the king of nightmares with the forces of evil rules over a post-apocalyptic world, where he alone determines whom the band mascot Morphoenix tries to fight, whose total of nine compositions are pleasing on a technical level, but have no outlier upwards. With 'Survive', ETERNAL FLIGHT do not set off for an unattainable flight of fancy. The weak point of this disc is the singing of band leader Gérard Fois, who, although quite passionate, only penetrates passably into the necessary high frequencies, and is thus far from the assertiveness of great vocalist coriphae in the progressive metal spectrum of the calibre of James La Brie (DREAM THEATER) or Damian Wilson (among others ARENA, HEADSPACE, ex-THRESHOLD). So the compositions at least drone into the ear in a technically acceptable way, but rarely leave a really lasting impression. Even the high quality cover artwork can't make up for that.
